Travelling Coast to Coast covering sprint car races while being paid very nicely was such a bad life, lol. Spending a couple of winters doing the same thing in Australia was so terrible also, how did I survive? Nothing worse than seeing a 100 sprint shows a year. Working a few days a week and seeing the country as a tourist for the most part, man that was a tough lifestyle for a decade, how did I survive? I know it's hard to understand when you leave the porch once a year but there is more to life than being a cheerleader, try it, you'll like it.....

you left out a key point - there is more to life than leaching off of others...
Lincoln 1845 ft/.35 mile T1=118MPH
Eldora 2287 ft/.43mile T3=135MPH
Port 2716 ft/.51 mile T3=TBD
Grove 2792 ft/.53 mile T3=135MPH
Selinsgrove 2847 ft/.54 mile T1=136MPH

I think when PA fans leave the Porch, it's called vacation, and I can't speak for the rest but I do that on a regular basis? Having drinks and trying to avoid a sunburn is possibly a little less stressful than chasing the outlaws 100 nights a year trying to make a living, but I never did that so I'm only speculating. Sure I'd love to see Knoxville and the racing in CA and a few others someday, but I don't really need to go anywhere to see sprint car racing, it's already here and 99% of the big names will stop by at some point throughout the year. It's not exactly the hell you make it out to be

You're kidding yourself if you think the Grove or Lincoln compares to Knoxville, but hey, to each his own.

To the Speed Palace on Saturday Night........where the drivers (local and traveling) in Victory Lane say things like..."scary fast"..."huge pucker factor flying around this place"...."this is way too fast to be racing like this"....
Enjoying weekly competitive 410
racing from February to October at any one of 5 or 6

I m sure Knoxville is its own league for one week a year. I hear the National Open isn't a terrible 2nd from people that have done both. I love 410s, but After going to the Indy 500 as a kid back in the CART days, I think I've peaked on 'atmosphere'. Hope not, but that's been awhile and I still feel that way 250+ live races later.

He is on watch by the Track Bouncers....situation becomes dire if someone bumps into the Washed Up Special....
I hear rumors that Smitty is moving his show to the Steel Palace up in Oswego...

I think the All Stars have a great shot to break the o for 19 at the Grove. Posse performance is down this year (IMO). Car count continues to be a concern!!

He wised up in his final year....I assume Hilly wouldn't ante up the show up $$$$....to the Port!
This 1080 is a Port Boy..........where the late models even look fast!

Talk about 'old news', rehashing a thread from 4 years ago, lazy or desperate, not sure which. Smitty, you could live to be 150 and will never see the amount, variety or types of sprint car racing I have. When you pass 29 different States, 3 Countries and over 500 Outlaw shows let me know. There's a lot more to life than the porch and a Kings Royal every year, sadly.....

I hope Rico can make the trip east sometime. Is Kyle coming or not? I have seen conflicting reports. Either way good luck to all 3.

Posse has to be on their game. Should be an interesting weekend. Extremely stout fields.
