I will just say this....this isnt the first time McCarl has done this. So...in conclusion....he better be prepaired for what comes back on him because the way I figure Joey owes him one!! THATS RACIN!!!!!!

what kind of racing? Mini-stocks?

These cars they race are much more expensive and much more dangerous than anything else on dirt. If you think payback is racin.........stick with stock cars.............

I was there, and anyone who wasn't is not entitled to an opinion on the slide job by what they heard on Dirt Radio. Also, unless you're doing the books for TMAC Motorsports, keep your $ theories to yourself. A minor incident like this is only the beginning. 100 more nights folks, stay tuned!

Shut up Savage, you were at Dingus... hahahaha.... hope you had a good time, holla back sometime...

Terry likes attention. He knows when he can "pop off" and when he can't (so, you probably would have heard something a bit different if he was on TV). Sounds like he was playing to the crowd the other night. Seems like it worked.

Maybe we are starting to see some new rivalries develope in the early season.

Great memory, Muddy. That was only a few short years ago when the tables were turned on a prelim night at K'ville. Was Joey appoligetic after that one? I think not. Instead of Joey owing Terry one, maybe they can just call it even.

Chilly, you're alive!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!

Yes, Petey, the Dingus Bus will be making it's sophmore trip to the great highbanks of I-55. Can't wait!

Right, Wrong or just racing....I'm kinda liking what I am reading. Don't get me wrong, I do not like crashing but I do like a driver saying something besides a sponsor list and some politically correct PR handler's script. I think that the WoO needs a bad guy and although I hate this comparison....NASCAR used their black hat quite effectively back in the late 80's and 90's. The worst thing about this was Tmac's use of the GD word..something that will easily be forgotten.

Terry McCarl in a controversial WoO incident?

Two of the ones I recall:

From 1992:-A dejected Terry McCarl felt he had been cheated by the WoO. Teams were told in the drivers meeting, the highest driver in WoO points and Williams Grove points, that have not already qualified for the Feature would be added as the last two starting spots in the National Open. WoO Officials changed the story and said the spot was based on Car Owner Point positions. As a result, the Two Winners Racing No. 7TW, driven by newcomer Dale Blaney was given preference.

"It all comes down to how much money you have, I don't have the sponsors like Wimmer and I have put every penny into following this circuit" McCarl said. "When they (WoO) need someone to go out and wheel pack the track, I've always gone out and tried to do things in hope that sometime when I needed something they return the favor. Then they do this to me." "It's not so much, that I am not in the race that bothers me, it's that they lied to me. At first they told me Williams Grove rules stated the spots were based on car owners points, I could accept that, but when I was walking back to my trailer, the announcer said the Williams Grove spot was based on driver points and the WoO spot was based on car owner points. But-What can I do?" McCarl concluded.

From 2002: Terry McCarl was placed on probation for the rest of the 2002 season and fined by the WoO series following a scuffle with another driver. The incident occurred March 16th in the A feature event of the O’Reilly Spring Nationals at Devil’s Bowl Speedway. Tyler Walker was leading the race on Lap 21 when McCarl collided with Brooke Tatnell, resulting in McCarl’s car flipping on the front straightaway. Walker tried to avoid the crash by going high on the track, but ended up hitting the outside wall and McCarl, allowing Joey Saldana to drive to the win. After the wreck, McCarl engaged in a physical confrontation with Tatnell.

After I dig out of the snow, will wear my McCarl colors on Monday at work with fist in the air defiance! Yeah! Yeah!

Must have been my ex-wife in my ear, because I don't remember the altercation. I do remember the wreck.

I got it!! T-Mac did it as a publicity stunt like Britney Spears shaving her head! How dare that pop star queen turned trailer trash girl rip off my hair style! lol

Chilly and da Bad One: I'll see you guys for sure at Pevely. Don't know about Paducah Rustin Benton, Missouri's season opener is that same night. They haven't had a race there period since May of 04 when the old promotors couldn't pay the purse to the Xtreme Late Model series (I guess you might have heard about that story). For old times sake I'm kinda wanting to hit that one. If I change my mind then I'll be east bound to the Bluegrass state.

Cheers!

Why should McCarl back off? Joey puts slide jobs on cars all the time. If McCarls right rear had contact with Saldana maybe he should of lifted-then he wouldn't of wrecked perhaps??? That's sprint car racing!! I thought McCarls comments were great. Saldana is happy as long as things are going his way. At least he got to wreck with his car owner there! HA HA HA!!!

Yeah the slide job was not what made me mad things happen in racing we could debate forever on who was in the wrong. And yeah Joey has done it before everybody has big deal but not everybody gets an interview and has to piss and moan about it, he was not the one that got put into the wall anyway!!!

Ya gotta like that McCarl. He's sure not shy when it comes to speaking his mind. Sounds like he was givin it to the boo birds and Saldana. Did he say Joey slammed his brakes??

check it out. i was there(tulare) and let me say it was a great show. also t-mac was under joey going in the turn, t-mac was under joey in the middle of the turn, and the late ray charles could have seen t-mac coming up in front of joey off turn four. so you tell me who should have lifted, not the guy in front! oh yeah, the t-mac interview was classic.

The radio apparently didn't do this race justice. Terry was FAST...and while we all know he gets fired up about things, apparently it wasn't mentioned that during the red flag a crew member from the 9 car was wailing on him while he was strapped in. I'm afraid that would fire me up as well. Wonder how long it will take Twenty8 to join??!!
