I'm biased, but I'd love to see WoO return to Placerville...gotta put my two cents in too for Syracuse as well.

Several sets of stands were added within the last 5 years or so. If Fremont were on the schedule, they would not be the lowest capacity venue on the schedule. Besides that, if Fremont is willing, who cares? The WoO needs as many shows as they can get.

Promoters asked face to face and was told no WoO at Fremont

This is the holdup. The WoO don't want to schedule this race. Must mean they have more than enough shows, or something.

Ok, I'm east coast biased, but the 3 that should be on the schedule are

Lincoln. - Best race for fans anywhere

Fremont - Outstanding track, great racing

Hagerstown - it's incredibly fast and smooth.

Me too - Lincoln (PA) regular. Save your WoO$$ & bring USAC to Lincoln on their Eastern Swing. Wingless on that bullring would = nonstop passing.

==> any additional open wheel racing at Hagerstown would be great.  USAC Silver Crown 50L would be perfect there ( also at the Grove, Port & Selingsgrove - 4 race Big Car circuit).

There is a very influential person in the racing community that doesn't want the WoO at Fremont. I won't name names, but some of you know who it is and why he doesn't want them there.

Farmington: Prolly even more wishful thinking here but it'd be cool to see at least one WoO event there.

Pit talk is that it nearly happened on July 5 this year when I-55 was flooded, but the track did not have time to bring in the portable seating needed to make it feasible financially. Also they reportedly now know what improvements they would have to make to the walls and catch fences to host the Outlaws.

Also, speaking of catch fences, there is no way I-30 could run an Outlaw show without the addition of some fences from turn 1 to beyond turn 2. That place is bigger problems than they had last year waiting to happen.

Would that be the driver of the Q motor oil number 11? The guy who once said the best way around Fremont is the bypass?

You guys will never guess. I got the info first hand and it wasn't hearsay. But this info was passed along about 2 years ago.
