Dang, I expected the locals to put up a bit of competition tonite at the only track ever associated with Posse success but HUH?

Hopefully somebody will confirm the anchor rumor but I have a hunch there may have been a few pianos attached to some of the lesser-lights. From the 9th row to second for the new King and kudos to the original King, nice place to start the season rollin' methinks.

Throw in a Flyers win and life is berry, berry good to Chico these days. Take It Easy.....

PS Talk about spoiling a birthday celebration, OUCH OUCH OUCH that's gotta leave a mark....

The only spoils to the Birthday celebration came from losing the cap to the Kettle One.

I would be bitter too, if I wasn't getting much bang for my buck with that Dirtvision subscription this year.

A true sign of intelligence is a person with an open mind....an area which your conversations lack consistently. In fact the last time you left Pa, we had to drop the slogan: "you've got a friend in Pa".

An Outlaw show at the Grove offers an atmosphere 2nd to none....if you've never experienced it, you don't know what you're missing.

Unfortunately some have experienced it, but have burnt their bridges and can't make it back....

I can't believe no one mentioned how light the crowd was.

PS. Next time you title a thread, "Anchors Away...." at least mention the #20 car. What an embarrassment to Tony Stewart Racing......

Forget the spin and the usual jibber jabber, your guys went backwards and the Outlaws went forwards. Take it like a man, not a moron. You had a chance last night at the only track you're competitive at and you get your arse handed to you, 'nuff said, let it go! Take It Easy....

Smitty, I have listened to a couple of Florida races and one in PA and won't ever subscribe to dirtvision. I listen to hear the Outlaws pound your boys and it always puts a smile on my face. Intelligence is a word you should never use unless describing the lack you have, sorry you asked for it. Your hero is making himself look foolish for the umpteenth time and as his head cheerleader you have to do the same, how sad. If the crowd was light then they are tired of seeing a backwards parade by the locals against some real racers. Stay with the weakly racing, at least it's competitive. Take It Easy....

You're right, it was kind've stupid of me to even involve myself in one of your dumbass posts to begin with.

Must be sad to have to listen, instead of watch.....

Maybe you should consult dictionary.com before showing your intelligence...or lack thereof.

My bad, not much of a seafairing kinda guy, I was lucky to spell anchor right.

Unfortunately Smitty, there's nothing dumb about the truth other than your inability to deal with it, lol. Sad to listen to that pounding, hardly. The combination of that and the Flyers win was the highlight of the week methinks, just edging out my kid's first A on a French test. Life's good, ain't it? Take It Easy....

PS You'll likely win/dominate tonite because it is the Grove, I'm prepared...

Your hero is making himself look foolish

Difference between BEING THERE and commenting via the internet:

In his heat Rahmer finished behind the feature winner and the fastest car in any of the heats The Hammer (was flying - fastest he has been all year.

In the feature he was moving through the field with the 15 until the nose wing collapsed. After that he was racing with the current WoO point leader for 10th when evasive action was required to avoid crashing the WoO point leader. Foolish indeed, maybe he should have crashed the 14 too.

Foolish, funny YOU chose that word....

muddy - is this thread is not required reading for your GED?

Buzzkill, we knew that because we were THERE...but WTF did PMS-PN ever "know" to begin with?

anchors away? - another clever brainfart - try "Anchors Aweigh"

Anchors Aweigh
Navy Service Song

Etymology
The word "weigh" in this sense comes from the archaic word meaning to heave, hoist or raise. "Aweigh" means that that action has been completed. The anchor is aweigh when it is pulled from the bottom. This event is duly noted in the ship's log.

so pull yourself off the bottom of humanity and serve that guy a Coor's Lite!

BRR, every time the outlaws are in PA you make the same mis-statement: The winner comes off the scales and goes thru turns 2 & 1 to the front stretch because that's what they are told to do in the drivers meeting for TV! (they want the driver's side on the outside ??) Apparently, you do NOT get all the facts before spouting off. Speed or whom ever is taping the races has no interest in the reaction of a "bunch of drunk think they know it alls"wink

Will say that considering the few races the Grove has actually gotten in so far this season and that this was their 1st race w/o adjustable shocks & weight-jackers (they are still permitted to run them in their weekly shows) I don't think they did so bad.

Heat 1 Grid: 8 Laps / Top 4 Transfer / Top 2 TT Transfer to Dash

Heat 1 Finish: 8, 69k, 11k, 21 / U1, 83, 7k, 17b, 11t, 12, DNF: 24
Heat 1 Action: Tatnell jumps the initial start then takes the lead on the restart and goes unchallenged on the piss poor track. Kreitz takes 2nd and tests the bottom, middle and top for the A main setup. Kraig runs 3rd followed by Layton and Pittman who once again figures out a way to race and pass on this surface. Lap 2: McCarl stops on the backstretch and retires. 21 & U1 battle hard on laps 4-6 with Pittman holding on.
Heat 2 Grid: 8 Laps / Top 4 Transfer / Top 2 TT Transfer to Dash
Row 1: 11h McMahan / 30 The Hammer
Row 2: 6 Shaffer / 88h Rahmer
Row 3: 1z Smith / R19 Solwold
Row 4: 55 Wagner / 14 Meyers
Row 5: 19 Smith / 15 Schatz

Heat 2 Finish: 11h, 88h, 30, 6 / R19, 1z, 15, 14, 55, 19, 29k
Heat 2 Action: McMahan follow tradition and leads flag to flag. Rahmer lays a move on the Hammer and tests the grooves. The Hammer is handling better than recent weeks and looks very smooth thru 3-4. Several prominent outlaws are rendered to the C main from this heat and a pattern of DNQs are stacking up the provisional pecking order once again.
Heat 3 Grid: 8 Laps / Top 4 Transfer / Top 2 TT Transfer to Dash
Row 1: 5 Sammy / 10n Young (10 Lap Track Record Holder)
Row 2: 71 Leppo / 35a Cole
Row 3: 77 Hodnett / 21p Montieth
Row 4: 35 Rilat / 7tw Wimmer
Row 5: 0 Lafferty (5 Lap Track Record Holder) / 9 Keel
Row 6:   /
Heat 3 Finish: 5, 35a, 77, 35 / 10n, 71, 0, 21p, DNF: 7tw , 9
Heat 3 Action: Heated discussion in the VIP Section erupts as a tguest takes a cheap shot at Young and Cole, claiming they would never make a race in parts unknown. 71fan's dad put it on the line and heavy consternation was in the air for the remainder of the night, exchanging barbs as I laugh and exclaim "this is priceless". I had to inteeject that Young holds the 10 lap record here, faster than Lance, Rahmer, Shepard, Kreitz, Kinser, Sammy and of course Lostkoski. An ugly tone fell over the VIPs but I tried to keep it good natured and offered a BET on the Kville ROY Award, with Leppo as my choice. The bet was later accepted with the 83 Outlaw car as the chosen challenger. Sammy takes the lead as Young and Leppo shuffle backwards and Rilat makes a few great moves to put it in the A main. Lap 6: Keel pulls in. Lap 7: 10n is in the wall in 3-4 with the 7tw, Montieth spins to avoid. Wimmer retires on the hook. More venom is exchanged as guests remain restless and uncomfortable with the environment.
Heat 4 Grid: 8 Laps / Top 4 Transfer / Top 2 TT Transfer to Dash
Row 1: 11e Erdley / 5w Wolfe
Row 2: 7s Sides / 28 Paulus
Row 3: 26 Stewart / 32 Weibley
Row 4: 2 Saldana / 22 Johnson
Row 5: 1 K. Swindell / 69 Collett
Row 6:   /
Heat 4 Finish: 5w, 11e, 22, 7s / 28, 26, 2, 69, 32, 1 (silence)
Heat 4 Action: Wlfe grabs the lead and stretches out, Beer Hill ERUPTS. 5w, 11e, 26, 22, 28 on Lap 1. Stewart loses ground to Johnson as MSPN steams. Heated action as Sides laytonizes Paulus on the back stretch for the transfer. Collett puts on a show for the fans, on the gas, on the wall, to no avail. The #1 car was not a factor. After this race, the temperature of the VIP Section fell to sub zero. We were called morons and this did cause for me to reflect for a moment, but not much longer. The second tier AND the WoO FOAW just got their ass handed to them by our "weaklies". Yes, we may only have 1 fast car, but our half fast cars made handy work of those who do this for a "living". The news gets even worse as the C main grid is called and the B main is stacked with POSSE FOAW.
Dash Hot Laps: Lance off the pace 1 lap early as most fans ignore the session to talk and stretch their legs.
C Main Grid: 10 Laps / Top 2 Tag B Main
Row 1: 14 Meyers / 11t Stutts
Row 2: 19 Smith / 55 Wagner
Row 3: 1 K. Swindell / 83 Kaeding
Row 4: 15 Schatz / 9 Keel
Row 5: 69 Collett / 17b Freeland
Row 6: 29k Kluge /
C Main Finish: 14, 19 / 1, 15, 83, 11t, 69, 17b
C Main Action: Interesting names here, this happen at your home track? 1 of these guys almost won the Mecca Matchup, did he not? Start: Meyers takes off and leads flag to flag. The 11t drops back to 4th as Kevin races into third. Lap 6: Schatz takes 4th.
Beer Hill Stretch: Cancelled in lieu of the entertainment value right in the VIP section. Qman joins as PMS-PN calls the Gasbag for a bedtime story after holding his head in his hands for several minutes. We know we have now achieved asshole status, so what can be worse? We are morons who cannot be educated by a sixth grade brain, and I will just have to live with it.
Dash: 6 Laps / Racing for A Main Grid
Row 1: 7 Dollansky / 11 Kinser
Row 2: 25 DeWease / 20 Lostkoski
Row 3: 11k Kraig / 88h Rahmer
Dash 1 Finish: 7, 11, 25, 20, 11k, 88h
Dash 1 Action: The 7 gets booed on the back stretch during the push off. Groove testing, no passing.
B Main Grid: 12 Laps / Top 4 Transfer to A Main
Row 1: 28 Paulus / 71 Leppo
Row 2: U1 Layton / 10n Young
Row 3: 12 Shepard / 26 Stewart
Row 4: 7k Kauffman / R19 Solwold
Row 5: 32 Weibley /
Row 6:   /
Row 7:   /
Row 8:   /
B Main Finish: 71, 28, 7k, 1z / U1, 32, 2, 12, 26, 24, 19, 14, 55, 10n, 21p, R19
B Main Action: Paulus takes the lead as most cars fight for the bottom in turns 1-2. R19 pulls into the infield with a blown motor, no caution. Mark Smith and Layton battle hard for 4th, exchanging close calls to deny veteran outlaws a transfer. Leppo maintains composure in a rare run on the bottom, taking the lead on the way to the flags and capturing the Crowd Pleasing Moment of the night. 2 provisionals for each will be taken.
A Main Grid: 30 Laps / Top 4 Lock-In for Friday
Row 1: 7 Dollansky / 11 Kinser
Row 2: 25 DeWease / 20 Lostkoski
Row 3: 11k Kraig / 88h Rahmer
Row 4: 35a Cole / 28 Paulus
Row 5: 7s Sides / 71 Leppo
Row 6: 6 Shaffer / 69k Kreitz
Row 7: 30 The Hammer / 5w Wolfe
Row 8: 11e Erdley / 5 Sammy
Row 9: 11h McMahan / 8 Tatnell
Row 10: 21 Pittman (PM) / 1z Smith
Row 11: 77 Hodnett / 7k Kauffman
Row 12: 35 Rilat / 22 Johnson
Provisionals: 14 Meyers (PM) / U1 Layton
Provisionals: 15 Schatz / 10n Young
A-Main Finish: 11, 88h, 20, 25, 7, 11k, 21, 14, 69k, 6, 11h, 11e, 35a, 5, 1z, 71, 5w, 77, 7s, 30, 15, U1, 22, 35, 10n, 7k, 28
A-Main Action: Initial Start: Kinser takes the lead and runs the extreme bottom of 1-2 and slides thru the middle to the cushion in 3-4 each lap, like a time clock. Lap 3: 11, 7, 20, 88h, 25, 28, 35a, 11k, 6, 71, 69k, 7s. Lap 4: Rahmer laytonizes the 30 in turn 3 for 3rd. Lap 8: Shaffer starts smoking for the second night in a row. Lap 9: Kinser enters traffic as Lance battles the 20 for 4th. LAp 11: Rahmer pulls a slider on the 7 in turn 4, the 7 lifts and falls to 3rd. Lap 12: Caution, Paulus, done for the night.
Restart Order (Lap 12): 11, (35, 10n), 88h, 7, 20, 25, 11k, 35a, 69k, 6, 71, 30, 7s, 5, 21, 8, 5w, 77, 11h, 14, 11e, 1z, 7k, 15, 22, U1.
Return to Action: Lap 13: Rahmer passes lapped cars and sets aim on Kinser, both running the same groove in 1-2, Rahmer lower in 3-4. Lance and the 20 car get by Dollansky. Lap 17: Pittman break into the front runners from way back. Lap 19: Traffic racing averted again after Leppo and The Hammer fight for the same line, the Hammer spins in turn 1.
Restart Order (Lap 19): 11, 88h, 20, 25, (35, 10n), 7, 11k, 69k, 6, 35a, 21, 71, 14, 11h, 5, 11e, 7s, 5w, 1z, 8, 7k, 15, 77, U1, 22, 30 rejoins.
Return to Action: Lap 22: Rahmer closing. Lap 26: Kinser enters traffic, still running 3-4 loosely. Caution as Kauffman spins and removes all chance of a race thru traffic by the world's "two fast sprint cars". Lap 28-29: heavy battles between Sammy, Leppo and Mark Smith.
Theme: Another night of miserable ass track conditions after a run of perfect tracks in recent months. Good POSSE Performance, spitting the field with last years standard bearer in the C. I will award Kinser an Earned Run, as he got the Sacrifice Fly from Kauffman at the key moment. Good runs for many, but little pride for any as the crappy surface stole the show. Kinser commends the local cars on the microphone as the crowd vacates the stands for the after party. VIP Section Regulars head for the pits for a look around. The Outlaws bring out some impressive local talent who have dressed for the occaision, sweet ,sweet.
Prime Mover: Pittman / Meyers raced their asses off as all eyes were directed elsewhere.
Pass of the Night: MSPN bailing before the A finishes, in spite of an earned run bragging rite, waiting to be collected at the Hilton Pay Out Window.
Crowd Pleasing Moment : Leppo shifts into Donnie Kretiz mode and patiently runs the bottom to win the B coming to the flags.
FOAW Spotlight : Posse FOAW make the A, WoO FOAW make the tree stand.
Attrition: The 12 car is starting to alarm me.
Hard Luck Award: The BRR Hard Luck Award goes to Terry McCarl. I have pounded his fans as they have pounded me. However, more than 2 hours after he was done racing, he was still in uniform and good natured when we walked by his pit on the way to the Hilton Fireside Chat. He invited a young man to sit in his car and the guy was elated. 71fan even commended him and invited him back for the Summer Festival.
WTF: A12L gets pounded on here for his opinions but turns over a new leaf, approaches McCarl's wife and apologizes. The kid has class when the chips are down. VIP section guest loses his mind during the heats and falls into despair after many ugly and ridiculous comments to the Leppo fans nearby.
Track Note: Can we run the show slower?
Evaluation of the Racing Product: Heats: C-, A-Main: C+ ; Crappy Track Conditions = Cautions put the "entertainment value" on ice.
Fast: Rahmer
Half Fast: Hodnett
The Beat Goes On: Once again POSSE has more cars in the Top 10 than parts unknown transfer to the A.
Missing: Civility and The Victory Lap.
Mulligan Moment: Pray for this man, he seemed ok at the BRR Bed and Breakfast, but has launched the Hindenburg early for Canada after a round with Cobra and the Mrs. on the cold hard facts of life. Posse fans have now solidified ourselves as morons and an extreme anxiety case has been disagnosed. Side effects include: denial, feelings of worthlessness and over extended cel minutes to parts unknown.

Thanks the team at Rockstar for another great edition of the Grand Theft Auto series!

GTA IV = 27 hours played with 17% of the game completed.

Wish the Bully Scholarship Edition was more "Part II" rather than a re-hash of the original with some "extras." The updated and cleaned graphics is a nice touch though.
