5 Oct works. I would guess since postponed and not canceled then no refunds, but not 100% on that.

Interesting possible dilema......the top Outlaw teams still have 1 "freebie" left, and everybody assumed they would use it for the 26 September High Limit race at Lernerville. Now the question begs do they skip Lernerville and use the final freebie for the Tusky 50 at Port wihich pays $10K more, and also gives them some extra track time for their Nittany Showdown races at Port the two days after the Tusky 50.......

Having the 50 on a Thursday night would make absolutely zero sense unless they want to lose a lot of money.

Make sense now?

I believe that may be one big reason for choosing this particular date. I'm betting the WoO had some influence in the matter.

No, it makes no damn sense at all to have the biggest race of the year on a Thursday night. A lot of fans won't be able to return due to work obligations. The sensible date would be Saturday the 7th.

My mother , a couple of her friends , and I know many others that go to Port every week . They are all in the upper 80's. They all have reserved seats in the lower rows. I don't think it's fair to make them climb all those steps every week in that big grandstand just because people complain about buying reserved seats for ONE race a year.

they shouldnt have to be

Only if the WoO waive the 48 hour rule too.

Two hour drive one way + probably large car count + Port's pace at getting a program in = (sigh) Dragging my tired ass to work on Friday morning, I guess.
