Get off your high horse. Waynesfield is an awesome track. Been there many times. You? Get so tired of you guys thinking you are God's gift to sprintcar racing. At least we don't have kiss three of our tracks asses and give them 2 Speedweek races because they "support sprint car racing". Nothing more than a money grab. Sorry, you ain't all that brother.

I've been on this board for 8 years. What a shame what it's become. Bunch of punks.

Mature much? Bye.

Not scenic? The drive from Port to Hagerstown on route 75 is probably the most scenic drive of the whole week  !

Yea, thats a nice trip.  I usually stay in Carlisle, so 81 to Hagerstown isn't really exciting

I'm not getting into the arguement of whos better, why this track gets more, why dont they go to that track, etc.  Both speedweeks are great, both have packed stands, so what's the big deal, why do people get so butt hurt over these things!?!?

But for those complaining that PA tracks get more than 1 show and that's exclusive to PA, let me remind you...

  • 2020 Fremont had 2, Sharon had 2
  • 2019 Wayne County had 2
  • 2018 Atomic had 2
  • 2014 Fremont had 2
  • 2012 Fremont had 2

OH Speedweek stats

PA Speedweek stats

At the risk of being defensive...

  • 2020 - Anamoly due to pandemic scheduling to put a "normal" 9 days together.
  • 2019 - Anamoly due to weather; Wayne Co. picked up a race last-moment (like, 1 or 2 days before the race) to make up for a bunch of rainouts during the week.
  • 2018 - One of the originally scheduled races was cancelled (Millstream?); promoter struck a deal w/ Atomic to host the show.
  • 2012/2014 - Pre-Tony Stewart ownership.  The current group seems to want to have different tracks every night.

Signature here.

True above. During the 2019 weather monsoon speedweek, a couple of the races it was not determined until the morning of the race where they were running that night.  They did a good job getting in the few they did get in in 2019.

BillV, don't ruin some fun jabbering with facts and logic...

Really, there are plenty of tracks in each state, most people want to see a mixture of tracks, big/small, corn-field/city surrounded, paper-clip/bull-rings/super-speedways.

Note; they've removed Eldora from Speedweek, after averaging near 45+ cars at other tracks, they'd be lucky to get a full field for Eldora, so Tony had the sence to remove it from the schedule. And to get a track like Limaland to run their only 410 race of the year, Muskingum Cty has OVSCA scheduled.

I'd don't mind the mulit-speedweek dates, but they could add in a different track each night, if they worked with local tracks. Look at the histoircal mix of tracks from the original OH speedweek onwards, most are still around.

My only wish, this doens't apply to PA spweedweek due to their track proximity, is they designed the schedule to provide minimal travle between tracks. For example, if they'd swap Muskingum & Limaland the route woudl be somewhat circular/serpentine thru the state. vs criss-crossing from west to east, back to west then south. Pa has an advantage there.

Also be thankful of the Bert & Bridgette's original idea (if they take claim) for SPeedweeks, look how this is currently developed into

Western PA Speedweek

CA Speedweek

USACIN Midget Speedweek

USAC IN Sprint Car Speedweek

USAC Eastern Storm (wished they'd bring back a 4/5 night OH schedule for Non-wing)

I am sure to miss a few SWs here, but you get the idea.

Ohio was first. Every other speedweek is a copy. As the car counts indicate the first four races (and no doubt tonight as Waynesfield as well), Ohio's SW will always be king.

Thanks for the clarification...

We have a fun 5 day 410 speedweek in California called "The Fastest Five Days in Motorsports" at some of our best tracks at the end of August. Really hoping Kyle Larson can make the room in his schedule to go to the races!

“Fastest Five Days in Motorsports”
August 25 – Placerville Speedway – Gold Country Showdown
August 26 – Merced Speedway – Thursday Night Thunder
August 27 – Ocean Speedway
August 28 – The Stockton Dirt Track – Champions Classic
August 29 – Petaluma Speedway

Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!

Winged sprintcars = the fastest and most exciting
racecars on dirt!

Pretty sure  Alan Kreitzer is still in charge.

Definitely sure that Alan Kreitzer forgot more about promoting races than many folks - including most folks on this board but perhaps not all - and perhaps forgot more than most just since he got up this morning

Jus sayin'

I'm pretty sure most of the people complaining are people that don't go to every Speedweek race anyhow. They are just looking to complain.

WCS in 2019 had 2 scheduled events, even before the rainoutns and whatnot. They were scheduled to host their usual Monday date and then the Saturday finale. They ended up running on Wednesday due to the weather and then Friday. Up until this year they had been reserving the speeweek finale to be at a track that they already ran at

Huh? Lucky to get a full field at eldora? Where do people come up with this stuff. Eldora wasnt on the schedule due to speedweek and the dream coinciding. The last speedweek race at eldora drew 45 cars and there is literally 27 cars following the entire speedweek schedule.

Because those 3 tracks make almost half of Ohio's SW tracks look like absolute dog shit. People want to talk shit about PA not putting Path Valley and Bedford? How about Eldora and Atomic not having dates but Muskingam and Sharon are? Hell Freemont makes Port look like a tacky and hooked up track most of the time.

Exactly.

Not sure why I have to go to every Speedweek race to want the best for our Speedweek. I bet there's less than 100 total fans that go to every race. Christ 95% of the drivers don't go to every race.

The one complaint about racing sprints and central pa is there motor tracks. For many teams that do attempt to make all the races there going to be taking a lot of gear out of the car. That schedule will be hard on motors if you run hard every night.
