Looking sketchy for tonight at Riverside. Outlaws might be able to get a feature in tonight. Been checking the radar and there's a "window" of opportunity. If it's been canceled due to rain from ealier in the week I can't seem to find any indication of it so far.

They should race in Sask and Alberta in late April and May. So very little rain at that time of year.

Now snow is a different story...

Actually this spring would have been good for my dream schedule. Other years not so much...

And the tracks wont rut up due to the frost in the ground.

Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

Yeh, and Gore told us the science told us if we didn’t cut down on carbon emotions , both coasts would be underwater..   15 years ago! Sorry, couldn’t resist. All this rain and subsequent rainouts are making me a tad batty!!

What does Al Gore have to do with what almost 99% of the scientific community says is true & what satellites show from outer space. Climate changes no matter what, when CO2 is added it speeds it up, plus bird migration charts & certain vegetation growing in areas that they couldn't decades ago. Plus climate is long term, weather is short term. It is an objective truth, which means it's true whether you believe it or not or if it fits into your political beliefs. And don't listen to politicians about it, listen to people who study

And what does Al Gore have anything to do with how many times the Outlaws have raced & been rained out.

Thought plant life thrived on CO2...isn’t Gore the poster boy for the environmental movement? Just a little attempted humor response to rev’s politics comment. Guess the rain has affected your sense of humor too.

Umm no they don't thrive on CO2, they do use it as part of photosynthesis but they also need other things as part of it like water & nitrogen &i other climate factors. Increase one thing in the environment without the others there is a limit to how plants benefit. There have been experiments proving this.

And Al Gore isn't the poster child for anything, not the environment, internet, Sprint car racing or anything.

And my sense of humor works fine. Went to a comedy show last night & laugh. If I read or hear something funny I laugh but first it has to be factual

Here are 2 facts....the Grove has rained out 5 weeks in a row. I haven’t seen a 410 show in person since end of March.

Now that I can sympathize with. Haven't seen a race since April 6th at Atomic. Last one before that was October 14 at Eldora. Not even going to look at the forecast this week or read anything weather related. Have it in my mind I will go to Eldora Fri & Sat. Hope the Grocery works out for you

Now. Please. Pretty please with sugar and whatever else you might like... Please don't drag politics into my thread in the way of a global climate change debate. Hell, I don't even want it discussed here. Hell, I don't even feel comfortable with someone just trying to be funny. If you get the craving, go yell at your crazy liberal or right wing neighbor. I don't care which way you lean.

Any questions? None? Good. I don't want you to even ask.

Not really how climate works.  Not going to get into an argument about climate change itself.  Yes, the world has been getting warmer for a few decades now, however, the last two years moisture in the US is much more a product of oscillation patterns than it is overall climate, and those shift semi-regularly.  Just like the mega-drought that finally ended in 2017 in Cali and Texas was due to atmospheric patterns more than it was climate.  The rain the last couple of years has sucked, but it's not a harbinger of what the future will  necessarily be like, unless the pattern stays the same for awhile.

Would like to read more about this, feel free to post some pertinent links  And I hope you're right.
