This is getting a little crazy now. As soon as the deed is transfered we will be announcing that there will no more of those damn sprint cars there. There will be real race cars instead.

Yep, I'm a small track, tight action guy as well.  Regardless both Lernerville and Lincoln put on a good show.  I think Lernerville is the perfect size, shape and banking (lots of it) for quality action.  I've talked with a number of WoO drivers and crews over the last few years and a really high % of them say Lville is the best track in PA.  Some did say that WG still has a nostalgia/history so it might be their favorite track but that Lville is the best track for racing in PA.

Agreed, Lernerville is the perfect size and shape for 410's. Lincoln is good but it just seems to be a little too tight and narrow and too paper clippy and doesn't really provide a whole lot of side by side. I've seen fantastic races there and some with hardly any passing. Still the best 410 track in central PA. I think they should move the inside rail in a few feet. Lernerville never disappoints, racey and fast.

It's my understanding Parrish Heffner and Krietzer are the 3 that are buying the track.

Too paper clippy and not a lot of side by side racing...huh?  Then follow that up with a statement that litterally can be said about any track in the world.

It's Heffner, Gobrecht, and Premier/Parrish that bought the track

Tom Helfrich would argue that...

It's not even close and Knoxville does not need to have a tractor parade 2-3 times a night to get it right.

Wow another one of these people who make statements to tell you nothing else can be better than Knoxville. What a shame their statements can be so shallow. The prep at Haubstadt top notch as well. I hope when I make my first visit to Knoxville this summer I’m overwhelmed but based on video I’ve seen I’m not so sure. Black and slick surfaces don’t appeal to me but I’ll keep an open mind. Lets hope this place can give the teams a track with a cushion to lean on and keep the moisture in the surface. Wish me luck. At least the HOF will be fun to see.

call my statement whatever you like but it comes from going to over 200 tracks over the last 40+ years.  I'll admit to becoming a race track snob, my barometer and what I ask myself is... could I bring a new fan and they would enjoy the show?  Very few tracks I can say they would.  I'm going to guess you are going out for the usac show? I hope you have a great trip but I wouldn't set my hopes very high as NW cars on a big fast half mile sometimes are not the best. And as far as the HOF? It's good but EMMR is way better.

Ok so you are a race track snob. Maybe lead into your posts with that and also say it is your opinion. I’m from Pa so I have experience with half mile tracks. When usac has visited, those races have been a mixed bag, some good some not so good. The worst races were the nites at Lincoln a smaller, tighter track. The track prep was awful and that guy is considered one of the best in the area. So if you don’t know how to prep a track for the cars you are running then it really doesn’t matter. I really hope this group understands this and gives them a cushion and some moisture. If not maybe the following year usac can bring Tommy Helfrich with them to show these guys what to do. I’ve been fortunate enough to see a lot tracks across the fruited plain, and know what I like too. With that said, if the track prep sucks then the racing won’t be good. That is my opinion. Btw the Reading Fairgrounds used to be real good too. I’ll let you know my opinion of this fabled venue after July. Hope it measures up.

I‘ve been to EMMR and it is great. I’m excited to see the HoF as it is a place that preserves the history of racing as well. It’s not a contest as to which is better.

Isn't everything an internet message board forum just someone's opinion?

I think EMMR might be a little better than HOF, but the best by far is Speedy Bill's Museum of American Speed on Omaha, Ne.
