Did this ever occur to you? McCarl waited on his announcement of racing at Badlands on a regular basis last year for one thing...........the signing of the NSL to co-sponsor and support McCarl's Front Row Challenge. McCarl and Quiring inked the deal one day, McCarl announced the next day that he was committing to Badlands. Which meant that McCarl would not be a NSL competitor. Not sure if that created a "pissing match" or not.

i think the pissing match started years ago.   And then got reopened in 2015 when not sober after the races Tod started literally telling drivers and owners to their faces that he didn't need them.  Sorry. It's true.        But you just can't get over the fact that a one race promoter asked the NSL if they wanted to sanction an event, but then chose not to run that full series For the entire season.      Driver Decisions.    Promoter decisions.    Two different things.

I no longer question whether or not a team chooses to race certain races and I certainly no longer question why a team races or doesn't race certain races.    But I believe you're missing the actual point Here.    I'm looking  for a little information.   Whether it be from your point sheets or your memory.     In the last 4 years (Not counting NSL shows) can you tell me the number of times that these drivers made appearances to husets speedway on a Sunday (the day that was so abailable for them to race before chuck switched to Saturday's)  ??

Brown.  Lasoski.  Maeschen. Selvege.  Madsen.  Dollanskey.  johnson.  Tatnell. Phillips.  Schneiderman. Heskin. Moeller. Moore.  Bunton.  Or Wayne johnson when he was running Knoxville regularly a few years back.   inquiring minds are curious.

Candy coat how that was handled any way you want. No skin off my ass where McCarl ran......so nothing to get over. Of course he now knows who is in it for the long haul. Maybe you can't get over the fact that Quiring is continuing forward with his planned improvements at Jackson Motorplex, and your hero Brennan seems to be vacating.

More than a few eskimos bought ice. lol

No matter what one think's about CB, he certainly is entertaining. I did benefit from some of his freebies, not from him personally, but freebies nonetheless. Now, don't get me wrong, freebies are AWESOME, but if your events are based more for the common fan and priced correctly, there should be no need for all the freebies as I would think you'd have more cash paying customers from the get-go?

In the end only CB knows why he ran/runs the track/pawn the way he does, but from the outside lookin' in, it appears that he had money to burn and didn't care how much he burned? To each there own. wink

I for one do not believe IM21 puts a huge dent in his pocketbook, but it certainly may have curtailed the excess run off???

I think the only way there's racing around the Sioux Falls area next season is if I-90 somehow gets purchased and reopened.

Obviously there are some on these boards with HUGE anti CB opinions though. I was just a skeptic from the start and am sad whenever the negative wins out or as it appears has.

"Nothing to get over."   Except you've brought this same OSKY/NSL story up on multiple occasions.

Rocky is my main track   As long as we have racing there I'll be happy

i think it's great tod is moving forward with his track!!   It only makes sense to do that instead of moving forward with a series that had about 6 regulars Or so

we all have our favorites and we are all biased towards something or someone.  We get it. You love Tod and Jackson and the NSL.  But you and your company sponsor him and his ventures, so I don't always take your opinions as objective. I have financially supported rapid speedway in different forms over the years so the same could be said of me.

The idea that we do some sponsorship at Jackson has nothing to do with whether or not I can be objective. I've posted opinions on things at Jackson that I don't agree with.....still has nothing to do with the decision at our business to continue supporting. And my "love" is reserved for family and close friends, as I'm sure yours is.   Smile

Not to my knowledge but I was really glad he came in to our neck of the woods. Although it comes as no surprise to anyone because he's one of the best there is anywhere, he was really impressive against some superb competition on tracks he has very little experience at. I hope he comes back again next season. I was fortunate enough to get to shoot the shit with him a little bit when I bought a shirt and you won't meet a nicer guy.
