That was true back in the 1960s, where I've been accused of being stuck.....

Oh really?
Ask Jason Johnson if he'd like to return that 150 grand.....

JJ and Bobbi are just an exceptional talent. I doubt if Durham wants to be involved as he's used to breaking all-time win records since he's allowed nonspec old school Cleveland style stuff. Once again, can we keep the the Ford thing out of the thread? My goodness now we even have real racers involved instead of wannabes like most of us. What was supposed to be a simple question is now as convoluted as the modern 410 rule book.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

You really only have yourself to blame. Since 99.99% of your posts revolve around "the Ford thing", I think we are justified in assuming you have some hidden motive behind your question.

Actually only a small percentage are Ford related. It just seems like most of them are because the Ford ones have such a valuable powerful impact

I'm a "ford" guy and like to shake your hand. I've got everything from a model T to ford muscle cars in the garage. But I'm a sprint car fan (former owner/driver) and I couldn't care less what's under the hood Of a sprint car.
if your question does not have a ford angle to it, what is it then? If the 15 car were to change engine builders (remaining Chevy based) I'm guessing it would have little impact on their performance. And if they were to change to ford, what would it prove?

If you want me to start another thread of how I truly want my beloved sport to be the best it can be, I will. For the love of Jesus, can we stick to the topic here though.

I would say that mentioning other engine options besides what the 15 currently uses is in topic.

Funny how he reacts when the shoe is on the other foot. Of course it never really got off topic but stlll, he does exactly what you described all the time. You could have a post about the Special Olympics and he'd hijack it and somehow turn it into something about Ford engines. Now he's acting like a pissed off little girl because his reputation for being a lunatic about all things Ford came back to bite him in the ass. How ironic.

Very good point. Your extreme harshness shows that you like the current mediocre engine situation in the sport even more than what I wish it was though.

For the 19 trillionth time, can someone answer the initial question?

I like good sprint car racing. What products the teams choose to spend their money on is their business. If I owned a team, there's no way in hell I'd ever spend my money on a Triple-X chassis. I have my own reasons for that but I won't berate the teams who do decide to use them because its their team, their money, their business and until I'm cutting them a check, it's not my place to tell them what engines, chassis or any other components they should be running. I just go to watch and if the day comes that it doesn't do it for me anymore, I'll spend my money doing something else instead of bitching because the sport doesn't suit my particular tastes.

No surprise there. Why screw with a good thing? Donny & Ricky have their shit figured out better than anyone so I'd be surprised if they made any huge changes after another 20+ win, championship season.

Actually the first 2 responces did answer the question. Or at least answered it as well as could be expected on some forum.
