Same here. I actually like Schatz. I think he's a good clean racer who often times passes a lot of cars and gives the fans their money's worth. I'd like to see someone else win Knoxville though. Especially Sammy, Henderson, Brian Brown, Terry McCarl or any other Knoxville regular. It would be so cool to see the hometown crowd get the chance to cheer one of their own home to the biggest victory in sprint car racing.

They would go nuts if Brown won!
I have nothing but respect for Schatz myself, still root against him

Schatz's underachievments this year include the WoO points lead, most wins, and a 2nd and 1st place finish at Knoxville.

Exactly, a 2nd at Knoxville and a win by default because half the field crashed out. We are only a month away and even Scruffy's team is starting to pick on him now. Poor Schatzy....
They don't even know how to spell sprint car

The race is undoubtedly for 2nd. For someone else to win, Schatz must first lose. A matter of time before he will.
Brownie been right there last few years. Haven't seen the speed this year, but Brian will figure it out come August.
Brad Sweet has to be a contender. He's been right there in the mix last few years as well.
Shane Stewart has the right equipment and certainly has the talent.
But If it isn't the 15 first to the flag stand. I hope it's the 24 TMAC! He's shown the speed on the big fast half mile at I80 and Knoxville... The stands would come down. And the party would last for days!
I seen Sammy cut as good of laps as I've seen him make since the 50th annual. the last couple weeks he was there, the thing was really rotating well. See how qualifying night goes.
82 Blazin racin and Zoom Zoom is usually solidly in the A. Hopefully see him towards the front.
I'd expect to see Pitman and the 9 group up there too.
I would also really like to see Garner and the retro Yellow 40 make the A this year... even with only running a 410 one weekend a year, he's got a good shot!
Can't wait! August 4th can't come fast enough!

To make a long story short.....the mistake Brown made was in turn two, but the mistake was he passed Schatz with 7 laps to go......showing Schatz the fast line in one and two.....Schatz had been running low through there......after a couple laps Donny got under and passed Brian in four......then Donny went to the high side in two and three and drove away.
Wolfgang once said of Kinser...."even if your faster than he is and you know you can pass him at any given time.....do it on the last lap. If you don't, you've shown him the quicker line and his elbows will come up and he will get you back!" If anybody is going to beat Schatz when Schatz is leading, they best not pass him too early.
