Terry McCarl- excellent well thought out post by a class guy.

This Badlands situation remoinds me EXACTLY of Eagle. For anyone that went to a WoO show in the 80's or early '90's that place was a POS, rundown, DUMP. Cormack put tons of money into the place and made it a premier track immediately. Also had the best paying at the time weekly 360 sprint show and IMCA mod show in the country. And the keyboard commandos came out of the woodwork to complain about everything about the place and he said screw it this isnt fun any more.

Review of Badlands Motor Speedway. Since last summer the entire facility has been rebuilt with new, stands, suites, restrooms, scoreboards, lights, infield, etc. The 410 purse has been more then doubled. The street stock purse has been more then doubled. Before Husets and Hartford dropped them 2 or 3 years ago 360 sprints here paid $600 to win. Badlands is gonna pay them 2500 to win, slightly more then quadrupled. And all these fucking crackheads can do is bitch about the place. Like the racing Sioux Falls fans had before at Husets and Hartford was great when in reality IT SUCKED.

Vande and blazer if either of you had bought Husets and built it into what it is now and will soon be I would be on here thanking you. And believe it or not, as a fan, Chuck Brennan wouldn't be on here bitching about your payoff in silver bars, what time your pit building opened and tons of other childish bullshit. Give it a rest you idiots.

I will be there with a huge smile on May 21 enjoying the show and glad a NEW tradition is being started in Sioux Falls racing. And enjoying the renewal of the T Mac vs Dobmeier rivalry!

Welp Badlands has had two 410 shows one for 27,000+ to win and one for 10,000 to win and I have been satisfied with both. The first one wasnt perfect by any means but provided good racing. As a Sioux Falls resident I couldnt have imagined this caliber of racing here 2 years ago. But I suppose some retard will get on here and say 2 years ago at Hartford and
Husets was better then what we have now.

Vande77, as usual you are an expert but as you say you don't own a car & don't have a dog in the fight...then stop your rediculous comments!! Do you think yur helping someone? YOUR NOT!!!

When I read these idiotic comments it reminds me of one of my favorite promoters Craig Cormack. Smart man, great business man, loved Sprint Cars. Decided he wanted to buy Eagle Raceway. Put a ton of $$ into the facility, promoted big races. Because of all the bitching & whining on the message boards he sold out & said "I don't need this". How is Eagle now Sprint Car lovers??

Seriously Blazer? Bitching about the $27? Do you know what that driver get's anywhere else? Or last year? ZERO!!!! What Brennan is paying for a purse is MORE than enough, the tow $$ is unbelievable icing on the cake.

What do ASCoC teams get if they drive to PA. & get rained out after they unload? ZERO!!!

What do WoO teams get if they drive to NY. & get rained out after they unload or even hot lap? ZERO!!!

What Brennan & Quiring are doing for Sprint Car racing not only in this area but eventually across the US is amazing!!

What CB & TQ are doing for the fan's is amazing!

My biggest fear isn't that I won't get my tow $$ or that my silver bars won't be worth as much as I thought. My biggest fear is that these wealthy, intelligent businessmen will keep reading this stupidity & say "Cormack was right, I don't need this".

BTW, this is Terry McCarl. I own more than one team & I promote sprint car events. Vande77 (Ron??) what do you do for the sport??

I love the improvments out at Badlands and love the excitment around racing again. My only issue is the caliber you are talking about. You go back how many years and a majority of the drivers at Husets/Badlands are the same. The McCarls, Lynton, Dobs, Zomer. All of the same and now we are paying more to see them? Thanks to Lunstra for hiring TK to see an elite driver that we can now call a local and a few that drop in here and there, but that's nothing new. We've always had people drop in unannounced; see Kasey Kahne. Just not sure it's worth $20-$30 to see the same show we've always had.

$5 extra dollars to the fans for what Brennan is paying out to the drivers compared to what the previous owners were paying in the 410 class.  And $10 on Sunday's for what the payout is for the 360's. I'm sure some don't like it, but most probably don't have a problem with it.

Rubbermade I am guessing there will be some drop ins in the near future. Those days you are talking about in the 1990s when Husets was awesome was when a weekly show might have a Kasey Kahne, a Mark Kinser or a Donnie Kreitz show up. In the last 10 years those days seemed long gone. But I am guessingh closer to the Nationals we will see some invaders.
