It looks like the majority of the posts support Natalie. Including myself. Now back to the original question. Paint or Pants? Pics please.

no, she ran out of "talent"
|
.......and/or Daddy's money.
She did well locally but not as well at the national level. Still she tried. I agree she could use a little coaching in the interview dept. She needs to realise there is more to it than just giggling and asking some of your friends simple superficial questions. I would think she has enough knowledge of the sport to be able to ask questions. She just doesn't seem to be able to wing it off the cuff.

All you keyboard warriors need to STFU. Natalie probably knows a hell of a lot more about racing than any of us and does a great job in her interviews always asking the drivers about their cars, making passes, track conditions, etc. What more is there to ask a sprint car driver? About their pit stops????? She is doing fine and she looking fine while she does it.

I'll tell you a little story about my own experience. I wrote for a racing paper for 14 years and take photos up in Minnesota. Back in 2003 the publisher of the paper I wrote for did a weekly racing show that broadcast on a local television station. I was recruited to do the interviews for a three minute dirt track segment. I had some public speaking experience years before but had never done anything to prepare me for what was to come. The first interview session of two local drivers went pretty well. I was raw and nervous but I managed to pull it off. The second interview session of two drivers visiting our local track ramped it up a notch as you can see in this photo. To be blunt I did pretty well with the Dave Blaney because he had always been a personal favorite so I knew where to take the conversation. The second driver I interviewed that day, let me just put it this way. I stepped on my #### big time and there ain't not taking it back. He's the one on the left, you might recognize him, his likeness has been in the media a time or two.
So that brings me around to the purpose of this post. It ain't as easy as you might think and I'm telling you that from personal experience. My fumbling Matt Kenseth interview became an incentive to joine Toastmasters. Can Natalie improve? We all can so I'm not going to point a finger at anyone. I suggest you put your beer down and try interviewing sometime and I think you'll understand where I'm coming from when I tell you that I think you're an asshole.

As far as I know, we've never met, Stan, but I always love reading your posts.
And Natalie, I still miss you racing at Knoxville. I've seen you make some pretty exciting moves there.

Remember people Natalie has raced all over the usa and canada; so she knows alot about racing and alot behind the scenes stuff so she is well qualified for her job there with Woo !

Let me guess your bitter 30yr old whom is typing this from your parents basement. Natalie is class act and does great job with the racing we all love your comment is a joke and uncalled for.

I don't think so. More like a 50ish sitting about 5 rows up in turn section B wearing a red shirt taking up about 3 seats.
Yes, uncalled for. Thanks for doing what you do Miss Sather.

From watching on online TV ...actually the young ladies skills seem more professional than the main announcers at times. At least shes not screaming "Quick TIIIIIIIMMMMMEEE" like a 10 year old, that got old fast.
She always asks the right questions and comes off professional in the interaction.

I checked my photos from the two Outlaw races I shot this year and could only find black and light blue. Knoxville is probably the biggest crowd she's ever done an interview in front of. Toastmasters is an excellent way to hone speaking skills and learn to gather thoughts on the fly. A couple of turns at "table topics", an extemporaneous drill that they do in Toastmaster meetings, and she'll be good to go for 2014. I highly would highly recommend that for anyone who is new to public speaking. It's a good brush up for veterans as well.
