Sammy does things his way.....Maybe that's why he's been so fast for so long.

i truly don't understand how anyone could try to downplay what this guy has done for sprint car racing. him and kinser both pretty much made the woo what it is and the fact that they are both kicking ass 3 decades later is almost beyond comprehension. how many top tier athletes have careers that last that long? i grew up in the 80's so i'm partial to that generation of racers, and to be able to take my kids to see them race is almost like re-living the past in a sense. i for one consider myself very lucky to have witnessed the likes of those guys, some of you should too.

we know sammy really aint scared jon r, but i will say this. the first time something doesn't go his way or he struggles just a little, he's gonna be like a little kid that gets mad and takes his toy home. he will show his ass, i have seen it too many times. the guy is one of the best no doubt, but he cries if things are not going his way

I'm with you on Steve & Sammy. I'm not sure how much interest there will be in sprint car racing once these two guys quit racing. They ARE Sprint Car racing!
