Gary Mullin owned #1 King car driven by Jay Woodside, Eddie Leavitt and more. In the picture with King is Craig Hitchcock. In the next two pictures is the last frame completed by Grant King before his death. Hitchcock bought it and built this car as a replica of the original GK car #7 that he wrenched and Dick Sutcliffe drove in 1973.

Here is Dick Sutcliffe getting ready to hot lap the above car at Eagle Raceway near Lincoln NB last year.

A Grant King Briefcase Find. From An Email
Hi, I just picked up a hard case briefcase that was owned by Grant King. The case is full of vintage 70's and 80's photos 4"x6" to 10"x12" photos of Grant King working on race cars. Cars he built with the races and personal photos of him on the Indy track. Also there are pins and awards he received along with a lot of thank you letters from racers and owners there's even a small book of drawings of cars and graphics. There is even some stickers that were used on some race cars. I was thinking of selling them on Ebay but I don't know how important this case might be?
Any comments on this viewers?

Hi,
I am the grand daughter of Grant King and my grandmother lost this briefcase that has been "found" in Canada back in 2000 while she was up there at accepting his induction into the Hall of Fame.... PLEASE CONTACT US AS THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO OUR FAMILY! She had lost one of her very favorite photos in this case and does not even have a copy, all we want is just copies of the photos if available....
Thank You,
Halli Burchett

NSCHoF, EMHoF, get them somewhere that others will have the pleasure of seeing for years to come.
