Kenny Schrader ran the wanged sprints and alot of early WoO races, then went to USAC and then, of course, NASCAR.

He also ran the USAC stock cars..In the USAC series, he won four USAC sprint car races, six Silver Crown races, 21 in USAC midgets, and 24 midget races in other divisions. There is no doubt that it was his USAC experience that got him his big rides.

What's alot?

He did run all three divisions, but Ryan was the champ car (Silver Crown) champion in 99, and though he's a Indiana boy, his goal was always to run with NACAR.

Kenny Irwin Jr, JJ Yeley, Tracy Hines, AJ and Aron Fike, Dave Steele, and Chad Boat is running the west series. I'm done, my brains smoking.. Of course a lot of the top dog sprint and open wheel guy's used to put it to em back in the day when it was called the Grand Nationals Series.

Here's something you youngsters, or maybe not so young, don't know.http://www.ultimateracinghistory.com/usacstock.htm It's a good read, and will surprise a lot of you. Check out those names, we had a lot of guy's crossing over.

Also Brad Noffsinger (California Racing Association champion) drove in what was then Winston Cup for Curb Motorsports in the mid 1980s. He drove the entire season. Unfortunately the Curb equipment was far less than even substandard at that point in time.

Also CRA/SCRA's Troy Cline drove in a very limited number of what was then the Busch series races a number of years ago.

Taylor Malsam in trucks, Billy Pauch Jr. ran midgets and has run some ARCA races, and rumor has it that Cale Conley will be going the NASCAR route.

It's a shame that alot of those guys had to bolt on fenders to become household names. Ryan Newman used to occasionally race at Grundy County in Midgets. He is a class act.

Like I said earlier... Ryan had alway's (even though he's a Hoosier) wanted to race with NASCAR. He didn't care about the Indy 500, it was Daytona that he was looking forward to. Now the first time I heard him say it I was pissed. It seems almost sacrilegious for a Indiana boy to want to go race stock car's, but he did, and is! As you you know he's a smart guy, and his USAC Silver Crown Championship in 99 was something he knew would get him noticed in that world, and it did.
