Believe it or not,  there is quite the fan base for late models in PA sprint car country. I know sprint car fans that turned to late model racing because they like seeing cars pass each other. Late models probably bring more cars to larger events. Yeah, you're complaning about 16k over a 3 day show, I know you are smart enough to do the math, is it that big of a deal or are you just bored?

Straight shooter hit the bullseye.

It would be like Knoxville paying more for the LM nationals than the sprint car version. It makes no economic sense. LM's have a decent fan base in PA, but nowhere near the crowds the sprints get. And yes they had a huge crowd last year, but only because Larson was racing his 1st late model race.

The sprint car drivers should race for more money. I've said that consistently for years, including criticizing Eldora for paying more to the 50/50 winner one year than the Kings ROyal winner.

I was about to agree with Winged Strawser about the Port being a skating rink for THAT race (not all of them), & now they're bitching about rocks...

Even a broken clock is right twice a day

Port has rocks.  I have friends that have been hit by them sitting in the stands at the Port and heard them hitting the  bleachers.  Not only that at least 3 drivers were hit and two in the premier division of 410 sprints.  Some people can't handle the truth.

Which drivers were they? Don't they run rock screens on sprint cars in PA?

Yes on the rock screens, but they don't stop all rocks.  Especially when there are so many of them.  I told you one all star and one local car. I amm not going to mention there names on here however Port Royal speedway knows who they are.  Do your own research.

The Tusky is not the Knoville Nat's, Get that through your head. The way the promoters are laying out the payout must make some sense or it would be different. Drivers are still showing up. Why should sprint car drivers race for more money, do they cost more than late models, do they have to travel longer distaces to races? Seems like late models run longer races, I'm sure that must be easier on equipment. Whats the price difference between a top notch sprint car ahd a top notch late model, since you have the payout figured out how about sharing those numbers with us.

I gotta admit, once you said the information was secret and that only you knew, I was sceptical. You seem to hate the track with an unbridled passion but don't want to name names because it might hurt the track? Like I said, I was sceptical. But once you said that PA sprintcars have rock screens that aren't strong enough to stop rocks, then I knew. I knew that you were fabricating everything.

we were sitting in turn 3 when it happened.  i just thought it was one of those sh*t happens kind of things.  definintely heard the tire blow out and then i can't blame him for bouncing it off the wall since he probably couldn't drive it.  it looked like something might have been dragging through the turn but i couldn't really tell.

i don't agree with wingedspeed/strawser coming on here ripping the driver.  i've seen lots of stuff like that happen at dirt tracks.  i remember a tow truck at grandview blowing a hydraulic line this season.

Hell, I've seen push truck races and even a wrecker rolled during the races.

But one of the worst was a 360 driver, who had to win the hot laps, took out 3 other cars in hot laps, 4 total.

Never said not strong enough.  Not small enough holes to stop all the rocks.  That is a fact Jack.  Like I said do your own homework, one PA racer and one All star and yes it is very true!  Just listen for the rocks to hit the bleachers, depending on where you sit. The people that go every week know I am telling the truth about this....they just will not admit it.

Don't hate the track never did, only telling the truth and that makes the Port faithful very nervous.  I used to go to Port every Saturday, not anymore!

So it is ok until a driver gets hit by one and has to be checked for a concussion?  At least 3 times this year...twice in the sprints and once in another division.

Go there and hear the rocks hitting the bleachers.  Not fabricated at all....the truth.

Funny thing is the Strawser didn't think they had a water truck until it had flat tire.

So back to the flat tire.  Were they able to patch it or will they have to buy a new/used tire?  What kind of jack did they use?  I mean, so many unanswered questions here.

The sprinters both were hit by rocks.  Don't believe me ask them.  They are both there this weekend.  Both were checked out for concussions.  The other one is in another division and yes that was a rock too.
