Sorry, moderators have every right to censor or ban you. "Free Speech" means government can't interfere with what you want to say. HH is NOT government, its a private entity....

& what are you trying to accomplish anyway? You think PR management is going to "see the light" & appoint you track prep boss? Or do you actually enjoy annoying your fellow race fans?

He just wants attention. As difficult as it may be, best thing is just to ignore anything he posts. No attention and he will, eventually, go away. It won't be fun for him and more.

Were I a moderator I would ban Strawser just based on principle. I would have banned Bob Altman for the same reason. Their "Rain Man" level consistent bullshit gets very old very fast.

I miss STANDONIT

Preach it revjimk.  So sick of this wave of "we've lost our right to free speech" flying across this country.  (which, by the way, your right to free speech gives you the right to say you think you've lost your free speech----you'd just be wrong)

I have not seen ONE single example of loss of right of free speech anywhere.  If anyone has, you don't understand what "Free Speech" is.  As revjimk pointed out, HH has the right to remove anything or anyone they please and this in no way violates your First Amendment rights.  Facebook, Twitter, and Snapchat can remove any ad or post they want, politically driven or not----and it is not a violation of your First Amendment rights.  Kyle Larson can be fired for ANYTHING he said, whether it was in private or public, and it is not a violation of his First Amendment rights.  Now, in any of these examples, if someone was arrested and imprisoned for something they said or posted, and it was not a direct threat to someone, this would be an example of a violation of your free speech.  I have heard of no examples of this happening.

Egras, I agree people go overboard with freedom of speech violation deal. With that said yes Hoseheads can remove you or delete your post just for saying you like Republicans or Democrats or frogs or snakes if they want because it is privately owned. Your Facebook, Twitter & Snapchat refereance gets a little sketchey. Because of some of the liability exemptions and other legal advantages that they have they are more limited as to what they can remove and that is where the dispute with them comes in. If they continue to be as political as they have they could lose some of those. They as the saying goes want have their cake and eat it too.

I 2nd this as well. Tired of the people's misunderstanding of free speech and cry over "censorship" whenever a company or person deletes a comment or takes down a video. A company (no matter HH, facebook, twitter, etc) has every right as owners of the platform to delete whatever they want, just as each individual has the right to not listen, assoicate, and disagree with another individuals point of view. Also, just because someone may disagree with you does not mean that your rights are being violated as some seem to feel. Its called a difference of opinion which some people do not understand the difference between opinion and fact because they are either so narcissistic and conceded they think they are always right even when they are wrong or immature and fragile that they can't handle that others have different opinions as they do. Like you said, unless you are being led away in handcuffs for saying something, your rights are not being violated just because your posts or comments get taken away. Of course it is a little different if what is said is a death threat because at that point its not really censorship, its a felony.

As is often said, one has freedom of speech in the US.  One does not have freedom from consequences.  And speech when made on privately owned platforms, is definitely subject to close review.

Yes, they could lose users. Still not a violation of your rights to remove posts. There are plenty of other social media sites to post views that align with the views of the moderators of a site. Facebook, Twitter and others do not owe anyone a platform. The constitution does not guarantee everyone a voice on social media. On the other hand, if you started your OWN social media site where you can post your radical views (not yours, but hypothetically) and the government took that site down, that is a violation of your freedom of speech---assuming there were no direct or implied threats. (remember, freedom of speech does not cover some forms of speech and expression and never has---such as threats of murder or harm) On another note, one cannot accuse Facebook, Twitter, and HH of being "political" when the posts being removed are often very "political." If one wants to post far right or far left political information, expect a far left or far right political response. In the case of many of these sites, that will result in removal. In the case of HH, they are trying to keep the politics off of their site. (I purposely did not attack one side or the other---because I don't think this is the place for the argument)

No need to pass the bar exam..........simply paying attention and graduating from high school should have been sufficient to learn this.  Constitution class was a requirement when I graduated in 1991, and you had to pass the class to graduate.  Is this still a thing?  It has become obvious over the last few years this is no longer a thing.  And continuing to pretend we are giving opinions, when we are indeed stating facts, makes you look even less educated.

A lot of the chatter that used to be on the boards is now taking place in Facebook Sprint Car groups.  That trend has been going on for about ten years now and has all but killed the old fashioned message board.

Originally, people used message boards to communicate with people who had like interests, like sprint car racing. Somewhere along the way some folks decided it was more fun to "play the game" instead of discussing whatever the message board was built around. Playing the game is simply being a butt, just to get a rise out of people. When those people starting becoming more prevalent, the message boards lost most of their fun element. A lot of them withered away. Some were simply closed down by their owners who got sick and tired of dealing with the crap.

There are about 10 gazillion places on the internet where you can go and be a butt, or have a shouting match with someone whose politics are different than yours. There's very few places to go and talk about sprint car racing. Let's try to keep this one of them.

Had to know this in elementary school to pass standardized testing and move on to the next grade, that was after 1991 not to make you feel old. Portion of the test was called Citzenship which basically was social studies and history rolled into one. You had to know about the functions of the 3 branches of government, how a bill was passed, and the constitution. The whole freedom of speech does not equal freedom of consequences was explained clearly. To go along with that, when I graduated in 2004 Government class as well as civics or economics was required for graduation.

I agree with your statement.  Trolling has become a sport on social media and platforms for people who are incapable of participating in real sports, such as dirt racing.

You can't make me feel old. I was in all of the advanced math classes in high school and my kids did all of the same math in Middle School!!!! wink But yes, government must not be getting taught correctly in some schools as many as we have out there completely in the dark on what these rights mean.

Or the moderators need to add a block feature.  So if 99.9999 percent of the posters don't wanna read certain peoples crap they don't have to.

I didn't post anything that would get me banned.  Nice try though!

Let's go Sprint Car Racing!

I agree with most everything that has been said about the personal attacks and name calling. These should not be permitted to go on without repercussions. As far as coplaining about something at a certain track or event, people can complain without running the place into the ground. I prefer Lincoln over Port or Baps, but I dont run the other tracks down, just my preference. We all know every track misses prep at times, due to weather changes, wind, sun or whatever just part of life. Drivers miss setups, drive over their heads all the time. But Strawser has an outright hatred for Port and he should be not be tolerated on this or any forum. I used to look at HH every day, mainly to hear about other areas of the country and their tracks. But since Flo I have seen most of those areas and hear about them. Guess thats another bonus for $150. a year.

I'm not sure why some get their panties in a wad over somethign said on the internet, many people troll, shellac, embellish and just tell lies and tall tales. Hell if I lived my life from some of the dumb shit posted on the net, I'd never get our of bed, heck I might not even make it to bed, might be cowerign in the corner with my lead feeder. Some who spout should simply be ignored, we know the net with forums, chat, msg boards and such as leading down a path of despare.

I coem here to read about driver, tracks, events and racing, I may read some idiots posts about somethign that pissed them off, let them vent, move on, some of the outrageous comments and opinions doesn't mean an equally offensive rebuttal is needed.

My 2 cents of jibberish on life, live and let live, keep on keeping on..... m  a  n...
