I think A.J. Flick needs to be added to this conversation.  He is a multiple time track champion at Lernerville, but has recently done very well at the Speed Palace most recently winning the Living Legends Race!  I think we may see him venture off of the porch a little more in the future.  He looks to have the skills, but will probably need an opportunity with a a funded team other than the family to make some noise on a national level.

Kofoid and Gio.

Jaxx Johnson sometime in the future.

Would live to see Jacob Allen get a win.

Ditto on Jacob Allen....  He's a good dude and has definately paid his dues.

Another driver which alot of people don't talk about is Morgan Turpen.  That young lady can wheel a racecar.  If her 360 success continues you'll see her in a 410 more often.

Why no Buddy at the Nationals?

Good question. I fully expected to see him there.

Another gal I've watched recently is Harli White. I believe she's being mentored by Johnny Herrera (car owner too?). She had some solid runs in Dirt Cup this year at Skagit. Won her first ASCS 360 feature back in April. Also won a heat race at Nationals and got into an A main.

Also add Mckenna Haase to the list.

JJ Grasso from Delaware.      I don't think he races much.      He finished 2nd in the 2018 Dirt Classic at Lincoln.    In May he started 8th and finished 7th in the WoO race at Bridgeport, NJ and it was his first race of the year.     He should have beaten the posse a year ago at BAPS but he ran out of fuel and still zig zagged his way to a 2nd place finish.   When he has a bad night it is usually due to the car breaking.

Mason Daniel. From what I can see he is doing it the right way. Moved to the Midwest. Working on his own stuff and learning with the help of a legend Danny Lasoski.

Question.  How are we to interpet "see more of?"  My two picks aren't anywhere near showing up on the national scene and who knows if they'll pursue racing as they get older.  On the other hand, we've been watching drivers like Thomas Kennedy and Harli White for a few years now.  Thomas use to race in a two car team with his father and we've seen both up here in the upper Midwest many times and he runs Knoxville and Jackson fairly often which are both on PPV.  Harli has raced with ASCS and I've been following her for a few years now.  I had LORTV for a couple years and used to watch her in the ASCS National tour races that they broadcast.

I guess what I really was hoping for is some names that I should be on the lookout for. I would guess not many know who Devon Borden is if they live outaide our area. That’s why I shared his name. He’s a 16 year old that has won some features here in the northwest.

I guess Gio Scelzi is the obvious answer, but we've got a few more that I think have serious potential. Buddy Kofoid, Robbie Price, and Devon Borden top my list from the west.

Would be curious to hear some names from the midwest and posse areas. What names should I be on the lookout for?

Have watched all 3( Kofoid , Price , Borden ) run several times in the last couple of years , there's alot of talent there. Some other names to keep an eye on are Tanner Holmes and Tyler Thompson, both out of Oregon , young guns on the rise. Keep an eye on Californians Jake Andreotti and Tony Gualda , alot of potential there also.

I would like to see Hunter Schurenburg get a funded steady 410 winged ride for a full season. Basaed on what I saw at the Iron Man and the nats I believe he could be a pretty darn good shoe!

Couple of questions...is Devon Borden Glens son?  And is Tyler Thompson Jeffs son?  Thanks

That's the way I understood your post.  Good question, I learned a little reading all the replies.

From this link:

It appears his Dad (Glenn) is also the car owner.

Added note: Devon is the youngest driver ever to win a national ASCS 360 feature (Grays Harbor this past year).

Kyle Reinhardt has been having a quietly impressive season running around PA between URC, 360, and 410 action and is only improving with every show.

With the pairing of Clauson-Marshall and Indy Race parts at the Nationals, coupled with his runs at Knoxville in a 360, and his desire to run winged sprints with the outlaws/tour Zeb Wise will be one to watch for in the sprint ranks in the future I believe.

Carson Short is a really good winged, and wingless driver. He was able to get a ride with Chris Dyson for the Eastern Storm this year and they had a solid, consistent week for a brand new pairing. Id love to seem him be able to get into a funded ride so a lot of the burden doesnt fall on his family opp and he can tour.

Jared Esh is also one to be mentioned. Regular at Port Royal and Semi regular at Williams Grove. Son of Doug Esh and won his first 410 feature this year at Port Royal. Hes been very fast and consistent this season and the team has traveled around PA for the big shows which only helps.

On the wingless sprint side:

Steven Drevicki is the defending USAC east coast champion and is leading the series again in 2019. He ran Eastern Storm this year and had some solid, clean runs. It would be great to see Steven get a 410 engine sponsor to do more traveling next year.

Stephen Schnapf: Former UMP modified racer out of southern Indiana. Has been running more and more with the MSCS and USAC sprints when they are in western/southern Indiana. Traveled down to Florida with USAC this year as well. Would be cool to see Stephen get some sponsorship to run with USAC full time. Plus he has great looking cars.

Jadon Rogers: Another Indiana kid who really is improving with every season. Another of the western/southern Indiana regulars who I believe has a handful of wins at Paragon this year. Another kid who hopefully could end up on the USAC tour in the near future.

Agree on that one!

Also.. I jacob Allen gets a WoO win soon. some consistency would definitely help but props to him for sticking it out on the road
