On this same page, on all the major events links, there is the format and purse....
Just letting you all know in advance so you can share with your wives / fans / gf so they don't start posting on twitter why their driver is getting screwed over and questioning their starting position.

Tremendous news that so many Posse are planning to show. I’m hoping we can back up to 100 cars this year.

How do the determine which night you run? I also do not see it broken down by day, is that done at a later time?

They ask you what night you prefer but then Knoxville will move you to even the fields as best as they can. The qualifying nights will be announced in early August once they receive all or most of the expected entries.

I disagree at least with the Sat. tracks. The Grove might suffer with car counts but the Sat. tracks don't. There are only a couple of dozen fans and 2 or 3 cars from each track go to Knoxville. There are usually some guys who don't run every week show up so car counts don't suffer much and somebody new might win. Yea I know the couple who go will complain about losing points but that is the choise you make. Running a non points race doesn't work either.

Usually 2-3 weeks before they will Re-sorth the entry list determining which night the drivers will run.

While this is true, a few months ago there was constant commentary, especially on social media, that PA tracks have too many races. Taking off nationals week gives the tracks and the cars that don't do this for a living a chance to have a week off in the heat of the summer, which I don't think is the worst idea.
I see a lot of other tracks (modified tracks like Bridgeport and OCFS in particular) have started scheduling in mid season break , to give everybody who wants it, a week off. Maybe it will help keep more cars on the track for the rest of the year.

Great to see Freddie and Macri on the entry list lets hope Ryan Smith and Double D and.. their names to the list.
Would be great to see Mike Heffner get together with Lee Stauffer,Jand S Fabrication and Al Hamilton and Joe Trone and put a team together for the Nationals with someone like Sammy 91 that could put the car up front in honor of Greg after his win last year.

Looks like car counts are way down. Lance should easily be tops point guy Thursday and could possibly sweep the night.

Checking out the entries again today....
Kyle Larson, which I think we already knew he would enter since the cup series is in Michigan that week....I think.
A trio of 71's are signed up, 71 Gio, 71BC Tyler Courtney, and 71P PPM. PPM looked pretty good last week, in Bernie's car in addition to Gio.
And make that 8 PA drivers now entered.
Good to see so many drivers make their first trek to the Knoxville Nationals!

Just checked the Knoxville site on Monday 7/22 their is currently 60 entries the 70x and 24 Lucas Wolf have been removed so apparently no replacement driver for Wolf.
Some notables missing 70 Brock Zearfoss and the 3 Jac sure their are others but two weeks and fourty short of a hundred has me a littel worried.

Just looking at the top 50 in WoO points I counted 17 names that are 100% going to be there or should/could be there that are not currently entered. It’s still early and there will probably be a ton more coming this week.

So...is Gio hopping out of the 41s so Dominic can come drive it? And back into that 71 car for the Nationals? A quick search told me that Dominic has been out in Cali driving an 83 Roth car. Does Roth not want 2 #83 Roth entries into the Knoxville Nationals? (Pittman and Scelzi)
Also, I see Spencer Bayston found a ride.
Somebody should start a long list of notables missing from the pre entry list and we can check them off as they get added in the next couple weeks.

The Roth car Dominic drives is only California races. They've kept the 41s out in the midwest most of the season and Gio/Dominic have been swapping in back and forth throughout the year.
