brewer 1s is right on the money.
There may be some upside...but there is A LOT of downside risk throwing your B main spot out and taking a chance on qualifying, heats, and a top 4 A main finish tonight.
It happened to Lasoski last year.

To my knowledge, in the years they have been doing this format, no driver has yet elected to run Friday show after being locked into top 10 in B.
Last year due to rain, the Friday show was run Saturday afternoon and the officials changed the format back to the old format where Wed/Thurs points locked in the top 50 cars through 10th in C. Lasoski actually won the non-qualifiers show run Saturday afternoon, but due to changed format started 11th in C main.

2 or 3 years ago while driving the Zemco car Lasoski gave up his spot in the B feature to run Friday night.
I believe his engine let go while running towards the front of Friday nights A main.
It's a gamble. There is a lot more to lose than there is to gain.

I agree. Even if you're 10th in B, you have to pass 7 cars in 22 laps.
Look at line-up tonight and there are alot more than 10 cars that can beat any of the cars locked in the B.
