They might not be intimidated but when any Chili Bowl participant is asked who they feel is gonna be tough to beat, it's always the Swindells. Must be doin' something right.

And the Sammy haters will say how much he bumped cars last night, but I was watching and I don't think there was a car on the track that didn't touch another at one point. But haters will hate on Sammy just like the other greats in racing. It's been that way forever....Sammy, Steve, Schatz, Gordon, Earnhardt Sr, it never changes. Oh well, makes for some comical posts from the haters. Keep'em coming haters, lol.

I don't think the Swindells are the ones to beat any more, at the Chili Bowl or anywhere else.    I think Kevin is better than Sammy now based on everything I've seen the last couple of years.   There were quite a few cars faster than the Swindells last night, not just Rico.   There was one restart late in the race where Kevin would have had his shot at Rico, but Rico ran off and left him.

With regard to Larson vs. Sammy, I'm sure Kevin will get Larson back when he gets into a Sprint Cup ride.....

There was more than one driver on twitter calling out Sammy.

If you have a problem with someone why put it on twitter, just go see the man face to face!

That's one reason Sammy will be missed. Sports is drama and Sammy gave us all every dollar of that and for that I remain a fan. I'm just happy that at 59 he's still relevant and has the passion. I hope he got the juices going last night and feels like jumpin' in a sprint car again and raisin' hell. GO EL SAMBO!!!!

I agree!

Best way to describe how drivers race during the chili bowl is .....spoiled big egos in rental go carts

I have to agree with you. Not very many clean passes, some, but mainly bumper cars by most everyone at one time or another during the races. That type of track you have to expect it. Entertaining to watch, especialy during winter up in the cold tundra of ND. People wonder why Schatz does not enter it, now you know why. He races and passes people clean.

Apparently they had a squabble after the ChiliBowl A Main last night.

Anybody know what that was all about ?

Well then I guess Larson or Thorson should have kicked Sammy's a$$ man-to-man right? Old school... HAHAHAHAHA That'll NEVER  happen.  Ever.

I'm guessing Larson isn't too concerned about Kevin in the Sprint Cup series or any other racing series for that matter.....

+1 Just a pansy hiding behind a screen. Doesnt mean they have to fight but he could at least discuss the situation face to face.

Short track racing at its best.I will admit after replaying I had a tear in my eye when the chant for Rico Rico Rico after his win and He deserved it as he ran the cuchion as well as anyone. The emotion is always high after races and Sammy and Kyle are great talents but neither would be my pick in a physical altercation Many of the top Nascar guys fit same mold like Brad,Kevin,Gordon and list goes on.Definately helps sell tickets and they laugh all the way to the bank.Fighting used to happen all the time but now words or retaliation at another race is how some react.Nascar has the boys have at it and when they do they get fined or points taken away. The top upcomers are articulate and have good apperance, and sponsers are not wanting any bad P.R.The days when Sammy started have changed and all the great racing gets lost in word controversy.I listened to the Dave Despain interview of an all time favorite good guy Kenny Schrader who stated that once a race was over he was just looking towards the next one and wasnt going to let it bother him as he was happy to be able to race for a living.Sammy was one of the best ever at racing P.R.not so much.

Let me start by saying I’m not a Sammy lover or hater nor am I a Larson lover or hater.

Larson wants to call out personal “issues” with Sammy after just drastically underperforming in a race many considered him to be the favorite. Not only did he underperform, he spun out twice on his own with no assistance from anyone else. Larson’s performance in the Chili Bowl A-Main reminded me of his performance in last year’s truck race at Eldora. At Eldora, he kept banging the truck off the wall which kept him from winning. At the Chili Bowl, he kept spinning out which kept him from winning. Will Larson end up winning a lot of NASCAR races? I would think so. However, before ANYONE is labeled a “prodigy” or “the next big think” or any other similar moniker, let’s make sure they can handle their car/truck and the track properly.

Lastly, when you spin out on your own, multiple times, it’s probably best you keep your mouth shut after the race. If someone spins you out and you want to “have a conversation” with them, so be it. But the only person Larson should be pissed off at is the person he sees when looking in the mirror.

Words of advice to Larson…grow up kid!

I laughed when Larson spun it twice on his own.

The Larson naysayers here were obviously not at the Arizona Winter Heat event to see an epic drive that will be remembered for decades...

I agree with Hawker, I was there.  I just hope I'm around decades from now and still remember what a sprint car is.

Quite possibly the dumbest thing ive read in a long time.

If the best thing you can ome up with for a comparison is the Eldora race , meanwhile implying the kid "cant handle his ride".....

well , then bottom line is , you havent really seen the kid race or seen many races at all. Try and catch more races before having such a strong opinion. I know its hard down there in OK to catch anything other than a rodeo so I wont hold it against you.

Larson is a great talent and one of the bright stars we have in all forms of racing...but let your teammate fight his own battle. Step down from your NASCAR soapbox Yung Money and mind your own business (like not spinning out while running 3rd).

Some of you guys need to take your rose colored glasses off with this spinning deal.

I have seen many of the best racers on dirt and asphalt be it local or on a World stage spin out while leading or running the top 5 all on their own.

According to scuttlebutt I heard from a friend at Chili Bowl.  Sammy was going after Thorsen after the checkers and Larson was sticking up for his teammate.  Sammy got mad and came looking for Larson.  Larson told him "face-to-face" not via twitter to "Stop running into my teammates".  Had nothing to do with Larson vs Sammy under green.  Larson did have some unkind things to say on twitter later.
