I thought Jason Meyers was retired and no it would not......
|
Meyers never retired. He quit the WoO, and races mostly in CA.

I wouldn't count out a Scott Benic/Craig Dollansky team if they have the chemistry. Both are very good at what they do. Dollansky finished 2nd in points only 3 years ago, so to say he won't be a contender because of his driving talent, is just not right.

This is a head scratcher IMO. Wild Child struggled in this car running the ALl Star series..will it be any better on the WoO tour? Thoughts?
|
I was thinking the exact same thing. Not sure this will be a good move for Dollansky even if it does take him back to the tour. I guess we'll find out though....

Jac wasn't good enough. Wolfe wasn't. Wimmer wasn't. Hitching your horse to this wagon seems like a bad move for Dollansky. This car, to me, has never performed well enough to show that they are capable of succeeding on the WoO tour. My guess.....Dollansky doesn't finish the year in this car.

Dollansky is most likely bringing $$$ and crew with him. They will be better IMO but lets hope they realize who they are going up against, and don't have unrealistic expectations

I disagree 100%. You can go back and look at a post about Jac/Destiny from August where I said that Dollansky would end up in this car and on the Outlaw tour. I speak to the one of owners of Destiny Motorsports every year at Knoxville becasue we sit close to each other in the stands. Dollanksy will definitely finish the full year because this is the ride he wanted. He has been trying to get in this car for a long time. Not saying they'll contend the first yea, but the drvier/owner combination has been in the works for quite some time.

Former WoO champ is lined up for BG car
|
Good thought. Maybe it's Steve Kinser. He's a former WoO champ.

Meyers? LasoskI? Mark Kinser? Dave Blaney? Or maybe... Sammy returns after his retirement?
The possibilities are endl-- well, pretty limited!
|
As a 63 y/o all I can say is if Sammy wants to retire then let him do it in peace. Every time a ride opens up his name comes up and me thinks if he hurts as much as I do rollin' out of the sack in the AM he deserves to be left alone. LOL
