According to 'Pa Posse Racing', Leppo will be driving a Bob Stewart owned car in the Fall Classic @ Lincoln Saturday night. Wrenched by 'Lethal' Lee Stauffer.

Let's all hope that this is true and hope even more that it's not a one time deal.

More wonderful posts from "true" fans.  Brian has something like 16-18 wins in PA, including WoO, All-Star, Speedweek, and Keystone Cup events.  The last race I saw him win at Lincoln in the 71 car he came from 9th-10th by lap 10 and drove away.  When he was the only person that could push Schatz in the '12 National Open, he started 6th.  The rubber down WoO race he won, it was Kinser that started on the pole, Brian got around him on the start and never let him get close again - Schatz went from 16th to 6th that night, most weren't passing.  He has a Diamond Series Championship at Williams Grove.  Is he the best driver alive: Nope, but he's certainly a lot better than some here claim and I have no problem saying there were 35 drivers that pulled into Lincoln last week he's better than.  I even have to stand up for MSPN on this one, he spoke many times in the past of Brian's big wins in 2004-2005, some of which I believe he witnessed.  He got two shots to drive a car this year with a team he never worked with ever, and averaged a 5.5 place finish with a 6.5 average start.  I can't imagine there is anyone posting here that's done as well.

So glad to hear Brian atleast has a ride for one race.  Let alone the Apple car!!! Go give em hell Brian

Yes the rumors are true! Bob Stewart is returning to the sprint car ranks as a car owner. At least for one night! You will see an Apple Motorsports Sprint Car at Lincoln Speedway for the first time in a long time and will be reuniting with head wrench Lethal Lee Stauffer and former pilot Brian Leppo. "We will be at Lincoln, Saturday for a one race deal. Looking forward to it!" says Leppo, former pilot of the Apple Motorsports #12. According to a few sources, this sounds like there is a slight chance of things leading to more if this first night goes well. So lets keep our fingers crossed that we will see at least one car owner returning to the sport... Full press to follow as soon as we get it.

The rumor mill has Leppo going to a current 410/360 team that's going full time 410's next year.

If I remember correctly which I do.  a very quality car and great car owners gave him a shot, and he didn't disappoint at one of the biggest race around here.  He and Schatz battled for a good number of laps at the national open in he CJB car.  how anybody can not like Brian or put his racing down is beyond me.  One of the nicest guys in the pits, and cleanest drivers.  He did the most with what he had in the 71, and I believe he had 1 night in the Zemco againt the all stars and parked it in victory lane

He started on the pole.

I personally think it takes more to win from the pole than anywhere else.  Ive seen Leppo win from many places throughout the field.  Fans should stop being so negative with this and be happy for many reasons.  1. We got a quality driver back behind the wheel for a potential long term deal. 2. We have an old car owner trying to make a return to the owners ranks.  and Lastly.  Seeing that beatufiul apple 12 back on the track.

Sure would be great to see them get through this weekend with no issues, be competitive and decide to run the National Open next weekend!

Highlands 3? I doubt we'll see Cannon out of a ride anytime soon. He's got quite the history with that team and 1 bad season to show for it with lots of success. Though I'd love Leppo to be back weekly. But this may not even be who your are speaking of.

iWell

I remember him driving for Mr Jessy Keen, Most race cars don't have back up lights!!  It seemed Leppo passed more cars going backwards than he ever did  going forward!!

It would seem to me that as good of a car as Mr Keen provided  every night, you would have thought Leppo would have won 50% of the time in the car!!!

I have said it in the past, I will say it again, he is a field filler at best.

Mark my words if he does well in the Apple car on Saturday, maybe the do the national open weekend!!  If things work out and they race in 2015, Leppo will be out of that ar by April!!!

Lol, this is good stuff.  Average almost 3 wins a year over a 7 year career and your a field filler now.  He ran about 15 races in the Keen 17, won one of them, and went from 12th to 4th is his last ride in the car.  New team/driver/crew chief working together, you have no clue what they could have been.  As for the Keen 17 being the premier ride, I distinctly remember a full time driver quitting it mid-season a few years ago with no back up plan because they weren't competitive.  I'm sure he was a nobody though too....oh wait, he's your defending WoO Champion.
