He isn't a Posse fan, FYI. Just a Kinser fan.
|
That may very well be but of late he has really taken to getting his jollies off by slamming Cali drivers especially when they race in PA. So if the shoe fits... I also realize he is absolutely the biggest homer for Steve Kinser. I'm fairly certain there is a genuine man crush going on in his mind.
Actually, he has the hots for Danica. They are "close friends" and I am guessing he has a blow up doll of her which probably got a good work out on Saturday night!

All 2014 WoO Platinum Member Teams that raced the entire 2013 season either as an Owner or Driver will begin the 2014 season with 2 provisional’s. 2014 Gold Members that are in good standing will earn 2 provisional’s after the 5 race night of the 2014 season and will also transition to Platinum status. On July 1, 2014, any Platinum Team having raced 100% of the schedule to date will earn an additional 2 provisional’s. The total provisional’s any team can accumulate for the 2014 season is four (4). Any Owner or Driver that has already exhausted their allotted provisional’s but gain additional provisional’s by switching teams and/or by any other legal means will earn show-up points only for any further provisional starts.

opnwhlr,
I'm just trying to figure out how you posted like that (could just be my computer), but it's certainly more interesting than anything else on this thread, lol.

Does anyone know what the "Nascar owners" did for a living before they were raced Nascar? Did they own auto auctions, salvage yards, furniture stores, auto dealerships, livestock? Just wondering...

McMahan has a ton of respect for the Posse and their fans, just like I do. He also has pride for his home region though. I respect that about him, he never forgot his roots.

You need to realize, outside of 4-5 people here, fans from this side of the country have a lot of respect for the WoO and the CA based drivers and teams as well. You let those people rile you up, then you blast an entire region. I follow every outlaw show unless I'm at a PA show or something else. I like fast drivers, I don't really care where your born. Fortunate to have a great weekly show in PA, but not blind either. I was certain the Posse was in trouble this year and Shane Stewart was going to prove it last week. Then the last 10 laps happened. It'll be a fun week/weekend no matter how you look at it!

Wow. Fans from PA are saying the cars/drivers here are pretty quick, that's all. Haven't heard anything from anyone other than Danny Dietrich's twitter and he did the same thing before last years race...

Years ago I used to download every single video of racing from PA that I could get ahold of. I have loads of VHS tapes with the Thunder from PA stuff. I think its awesome that PA has such a large rabid fanbase and its great they have a large amount of quality cars and drivers. Where I have gotten fed up at times has been this new trend to slam Kyle Larson or anything California, it has been happening for the past few years. It gets god damned old. I realize there are idiot fans in all regions and unfortunately just like one piece of shit floating in your hot tub it ruins the good time. There are some outright moronic people from California and Pennsylvania that give off the wrong impression overall of two great racing regions. I have been pissed in the past with the viewpoint that the greatest fans and drivers solely come from PA. Thats nonsense. There are great fans and great drivers all over. Now an argument can be made that PA has a larger number of diehard fans and a larger number of good teams but each region has nothing but quality at the top.
Its just a sport in the end but I guess were all a little nuts to be addicted to sprint cars like we are. I just plain enjoy good sprint car racing and quite frankly dont give a shit if some of these idiots hate California or not. I used to really, really care but lately I am losing the fire to fight their endless bullshit.
I find your posts refreshing. If I've specifically been an ass towards you I apologize.
Cheers!

Yet you let it rile you up. Interesting. He was only speaking out at the poster's that give crap to Cali driver's. I love the fact that PA fan's will come to the Trophy Cup and go WOW!! I would love the same opportunity in PA. Just not going to happen and don't use Lincoln as your measuring stick towards a bull-ring.
Trophy Cup......Best race of the year hands down!

PA fans are really sensitive, Cali fans are really sensitive, I think it's all in good fun. Certainly Cubes is over the top, but I can't imagine being offended by anything he writes.
Only idiots believe Larson is overrated, everyone knows the Posse on their tracks are the toughest group the Outlaws face year in and year out, and most people know that Donny Schatz is the best driver period. The rest is all getting a rise out of people, no need to get upset over something as silly as a message board.

Haha, Posse vs WoO! Nascar $ vs Local guys! US vs PA! Good luck to all who show up. I'm super jealous I can't make it out to watch it unfold. I'll just have to wait to see Posse vs WoO at King Royal or the Nationals....... oh wait.

Thank you to Brent Marks and Lucas Wolfe who are stepping off the porch this year to run east of PA. Really enjoyed watching you guys run Eldora and looking forward to seeing you guys run at KR.

Friday will be a wash... Should be a nice heavy track under cool conditions Saturday.
If you haven't been to an Outlaw show in central Pa, you don't know what passion for racing is. God bless the Keystone State!

This post makes much sense. I belong to a handicapping forum which has a "Nascar" section and a guy posted a thread that he was entering a salary cap league and was only had $300,000 left to spend ( Jimmy Johnson was $3,000,000 to put it in perspective). Kyle Larson wasn't even on the list of this league. There was an option to take a "field" driver for the $300,000 which was the minimum for any driver. This guy never even heard of Kyle Larson. He was going to take Cole Whitt and after a few back and forths I convinced him that Kyle Larson WAS the real deal and would probably win rookie of the year and with some luck maybe even make the chase. I also said the kid has won in everything he has ever driven and would not dissappoint. He's has thanked me numerous times because he currently is leading his league and NOBODY else in the league took Larson.
The moral of the story is this.... I do think Kyle Larson is one hell of a shoe. But a few of the dopes that post here cause a lot of sour grapes for most people. I find myself rooting for him when I watch the Nascrap race on TV. But if he ever races a 410 in PA again, I hope he breaks in warmups every time. The Cali "chest thumpers" are just as bad... if not worse as any PA fan. I think you all read Cubic's posts and assume that he is the entire PA fanbase.

Well, it takes just a few bad apples to spoil to the lot of a fan base, just like the few Ca honks have seemed to anger those who feel it is necessary to create multiple screen names just to take jabs at them every chance they get. No need for a long winded explanation every time it happens, just accept their are homer wanks in every fanbase, and there are even bigger DB's that are going to call out the minority of said fan bases for their homerism. Moving on.

Im from Pa and I think Larson is one of the best I've ever seen, go on YouTube and watch him drive through the field at Port Royal at last years Weikert memorial, the California woo shows this year were awesome from what I saw on dirtvision, Myers, Allard, Bud Kaeding Rico, you can't deny the awesome talant Ca has to offer. I also really enjoy the Outlaws and can't wait for tonight at Lincoln, I'm also damn proud of Pa's weekly 410 racing at three tracks all within a few hours of each other, all packed with top teams and some of the best drivers in the business, with that said of course I want a pa driver to win tonight and this weekend at the grove, it's a hell of an achievement, regardless of what the posse proud say the Outlaws are the best of the best based on there ability to show up at most any track and battle for the win. Beating the woo, even at a track the posse has a clear advantage at is still quite a feat, it's great to be a sprint car fan in Pa, great tracks great drivers and a ton of visits by the Woo, who could possibly complain?

Also, Danny Deitrich should show a bit more respect to the outlaws, the 2 biggest wins of his career wouldn't have been possible without the Woo, those wins did more to boost his career and make his name known nationally than all his local wins combined. if jimmy Siegel or Allan Krimes can pull it off tonight, their shirt sales will triple and that's great, pa needs the woo more than the woo needs pa. How pissed would everyone be if the outlaws didn't come to Pa, I know a few of the elite posse proud guys will say they wouldn't mind a bit but judging by the incredible fan turnout for these shows I think we know the truth. I know the tracks would take a huge financial hit without the Woo, just something to think about before you bash California or the Outlaws.
