Larson has the same dismal record of no wins at the Grove too...at least the All Stars can get thru 3-4 on the warm up lap.

Lincoln 1845 ft/.35 mile T1=118MPH
Eldora 2287 ft/.43mile T3=135MPH
Port 2716 ft/.51 mile T3=TBD
Grove 2792 ft/.53 mile T3=135MPH
Selinsgrove 2847 ft/.54 mile T1=136MPH

I'll take the odds for the All-Stars beating the Posse at Port. Kemenah, Holtgraver, Shaffer, Blaney, Haud vs Hodnett, Heimbach, Lafferty, Barger, Wagner, Esh etc. Good deal for the Posse is Dietrich and Marks are headed to the big half mile as well.

I'm really not sure how you are so confident the locals win Saturday. But I hope you're right.

i don't knkw if you have seen a race at port royal, but heimbach isn't a joke there, neither is hodnett, esh, barger.  Heimbach has been nothing short but fast as hell and quick around there.

0 for 28? All Star Circuit of Chumpions fares even worse than the World of Also Rans in PA.

Thought I'd stay out of the this till Cubic saw fit to call our favorites "Chumpions"

The All Stars may not get a win on this trip, but at least they will show.

Posse boys have lost 77 straight at Fremont against the ASCoC.

Lol. Yes I have sthat's race at Port Royal. Thanks for the wonderful insight. I don't think I said anyone was a joke there, I just said I'd take those odds any day of the week.

"No chest pounding here" ....ya, right.  BS.  You write "That leaves the All Star brigade running for second or worse. And taking another trip back to Ohio with battered and bruised egos again".

Then you say "As for the Pennsylvania guys traveling out of the area to beat the All Stars, that isn't the point......." It is the point when you are proclaiming how big and bad your PA guys are, yet are afraid to run with the All Stars (or the Outlaws) elsewhere.  Man, I hope Blaney, Kemenah, Shaffer and co put one on you.  Personally I wish the All Stars would dump the PA dates and stay and run more races in Ohio, or run places like Lawrenceburg, IN. more than they do now.

Also, really looking forward to see all the Pennsylvania Posse teams at Eldora for the May 3rd and 4th Outlaw races (at which the top All Star teams will run as well) - surely they'll be there, right?

well here we go with the 'posse' not leavin the porch comments. There has been significant discussion on here about why (primarily lack of $$$$$ and guys working for a living) just like just about every other group of 'locals' all over the country. Let me turn this around as last time I checked the interstates run west to east also. How many Ohio 'locals' come to central Pa to run the big $$$$ shows? They can't even make to the Grove for the National Open for $50,000. I think last year Blaney was the ONLY Ohio guy to make the trek and I certainly don't consider him an Ohio 'local'

I dont know what the hell youre talking about by saying Hodnett is subpar.  He is having a pretty good start to the season if you ask me, +29 at Port Royal, and damn good runs at the Grove.

He is running subpar compaired to preveious years, but looks like him and the new crew chief are starting to gel.

Allstars definitely have a shot. No more Fast Freddy , Hodnett & DewEase not up to par,  some new Allstars

Not predicting a win, but would not shock me either

Just because fast Fred retired, doesnt mean there isnt another team that can beat these guys. Stevie Smith in a Rahmer owned car has a very good shot as he is the WG point leader. Brent Marks if he can keep his head straight and not overdrive the thing can win. Same could be said for DD. Hoddnett may not look up to par, but when big money is on the Line you can't count him out. I think him and the new crew chief are starting to gel. Lance well we in Pa have been calling the 14 the penilty box for the last few seasons, because they cant seem to stay consistant, and most who have ever drove it has been a 1 and done for them. the funding just isnt there for that caliber of driver.

I'm wondering if the "Last Lap Challenge" at the Grove will be mentioned in Gators future columns. LMAO

good point - if you were a Central PA car owner, how many miles would you drive the rig in the wrong direction to race when your sponsors are here in PA and not in Ohio?

the highway runs both directions...we start earlier and end later every year.

I believe we have 2 career drivers here, that's it, the rest of our drivers are blue collar men who don't get big sponsorship $$ to be able to afford a lot of travel.  Also, why travel all the way to Fremont to race against the ASCoC, for almost the same amount of money as you can win at home, with a better format than the all stars awful format

Of those 77 events, how many have been won by Ohio local racers...? By the way, we refer to him as cubic dumbass... wink

They don't travel there because they can't win (or even run well) at a track where they don't race every single week. When was the last time a Posse driver won the Knoxville Nationals? Psssst it was Bobby Allen in 1990. That was 25 years ago. I'll start respecting the Posse more when they can win at a track outside the state of Pennsylvania. "We win at Hagerstown all the time." Shut up. Go win at Fremont or Attica ONE TIME and then you can say you beat the ASCoC.

First of all the ASCoC  are a professional band of drivers, not a group of locals like the 'Posse'. If the Posse guys traveled...THEY wouldn't be LOCALS!!! When was the last time a Ohio 'local' won at Knoxville? By the way Donnie Kreitz won at Eldora King's Royal..I heard he's from Pa. How many Ohio 'locals' won at the Grove? It amazes me how the discussion gets turned around by people who can't argue the facts. The discussions have ALWAYS been about Posse defending home turf, but somehow ends up being about them being pussies because they don't leave the porch. Having said that, I personally think the All Stars have a great chance to beat the Posse this year..with Kemenah, Schaffer, Blaney, Wild Child, Holtgraver. That's a stout group of drivers plus the odds are in their favor...the streak at the Grove has to end sometime.

Oh I almost forgot. Lance Dewease has won at the following tracks outside Pa...Ocala(Fl), East BaY (Fl), Volusia (Fl), Putnam County (Fl), Bridgeport (NJ), Butler Battlegrounds (Mi) against the ASCoC, Attica against the ASCoC, Charlotte against the WoO, Oskaloosa (IA), Knoxville (IA) against the K-ville locals starting 11th, and Fulton (NY) against the ASCoC. I heard Lance is from Pa also!!

I also heard that bum Fred Rahmer won a prelim night at Knoxville before, am I correct?? I'm pretty sure he has won off of the porch as well, or at least the hall of fame says so, but who cares about facts right?.  And isn't the argument kind of invalid about the posse leaving porch and winning??  Isn't All Stars basically Ohio based, and they leave their porch and lose all the time, whether it's against the outlaws or locals.  If our locals traveled wouldn't they be consider travelers and not locals so it's an invalid argument, and I know I'll be called out for stating facts on here but.

I will if you do the same.

Cool... tell me where to send the $5, if Posse wins both races, keep the $5.  If a non Posse wins either race, use the return address to send me the $270.

I can agree with most of what you said. Posse drivers are very good at their home tracks, and OCCASIONALLY, when they decide to travel, they'll do alright. Lance Dewease is in a league of his own though. He is one of the masters of sprint car racing today. But Posse SHOULD be better at WG, Lincoln, Port, etc. They run those tracks 30 times a year. If you put Posse vs. ASCoC at a random track in California that none of them have been at, who wins? I'll take an entire ASCoC top five. Posse is probably the best local sprint car racing there is, but almost none of them can hold a candle to the All Stars or WoO at a "neutral" site.

Most knowledgable posse fans will acknowledge that the posse drivers are no better than ASCoC or WoO...WoO certainly being the best. But one cannot dismiss the stats when you look at the history of Posse defending HOME turf.

Oh, and Danny Dietrich won the ASCoC race at Fonda NY last year. 1st time ever at the track.

Well, the Grove rained out, so a sweep is out. And no way I put up 270 to your 5. That is nonsense betting.
