Just wondering why Lanny did not take the opportunity to showcase his 305 Racesaver sprint class in front of an open wheel crowd rather than mods as the filler class.

Be a pretty cool thing for the 305s teams to be pitting with some of the best of the 410s.

Good news I guess is I miss nothing in the food line when the mods are running and spinning out.

Maybe because the WoO are promoting this event (not DB Speedway).

They wouldn't want to showcase another form of sprint car unless they have no choice (like @ KNoxville when 360's are the support class) as they may put on a better race and offer a better format than the WoO do.

I hope DB gets a good car count and the race is good, but if they are going to get anywhere close to that 30 # that Johnny Gibson posted earlier this week, my guess is that 10+ are 360 or 305 cars filling the field.

You would be a fool to bring anything but a hard hitting 410 to a DB WoO race...

I'd be willing to put my car count guess at 26-28. Too many 360 races going on that weekend in Texas to get very many of them. If they draw 28 they surely have to consider that to be a success. I think 30+ is being a tad over optimistic. Regardless of whether there are 28 or 35 I will enjoy every lap of it.

305's are the herpes of sprint cars

Awesome but we are talking the Bowl. Doubt a 360 will be able to do that at the Bowl.

I saw that with the weekend off from Nascar that Kyle Larson said he would be there. I wonder if it is just to watch or to race?

Per the @LarsonMarks twitter site,he WILL NOT be there

Track record is 13.530 set by Mark Kinser in 99'

I cannot help but think that record is going to be shattered, 360's were clocked in the 13.7's at the Spring Nationals in March.  Super fast, can't wait!!!  10 years seems like forever ago for those of us who are local.

I saw on FB from Eckert that Joey has the record at 13.3 ... not recognized by the WoO for some reason.  Either way, the TR is probably toast this weekend.

I remember them announcing that TBJ had turned a 14.3 during his heat race and he was clearly the fastest car on that night.   I don't remember hearing anything about a 13.7 though.    Who did it?

Maybe or maybe not, will depend on track conditions.
