I bought last nights coverage. It was fine. BUT, I will not be purchasing a weekend pass every week. Had they done the yearly pass for the 80/100 bucks I would have bought it. Im not paying 140 bucks for the two weeks of FL Sprint weeks especially since I only wanna watch the Sprint cars.

From my time promoting concerts I learned a very good lession. I changed the numbers to make this simple but If I charged $15 a ticket I would only get 100 people to show up. But say I charged $7 a ticket I would get 300 people to show up. People like inexpensive things. So if I do my math:
$15X100= $1500 or $7X 300= $2100
I make more money with having the ticket a lower price. I know quite a few people that would purchase a race on dirtvision if it was cheaper. I think if they had it low enough they would make up more than the difference.

I ordered it tonight and didn't have any prolems. The picture isn't crystal clear, but it ran smoothly. $21.99 is about the top end of what I'd be willing to pay even as a hardcore fan. They got my money tonight because it's still freezing cold here in Ohio and I needed a racing fix.
Is that going to be a standard price for an event this year or are they just trying to cash in early on the lack of other racing going on?

Using that analogy - when you sold 300 vs 100 tickets .. were those in the back of the hall that couldn't see as well as those in the front as happy as those in the front row? After all those in the back row paid the same as those folks in the front row right? But they were even farther back from the front row than they were before - when you only sold 100 tickets. Of course they were pissed - so then you had to rent a bigger hall with better sightlines so everyone could have a good seat ... but that cut into your overhead didn't it? So next time you had to raise ticket prices to allow for that larger audience and bigger venue with better sightlines.....
USAC is charging $39 for 3 nites in FL .. seems DV is on par or less than what USAC, XSan and RB are charging as well.

I always had general admission.... But thats besides the point since everyone who purchases DV or any other streaming site gets the same view. I purchased the yearly pass last year and was even thinking about buying it this year. EVEN after all the issues they had last year. I'm pretty sure they had more races with buffering issues then races that didnt. Ya they usually had stuff figured out by the A Main but I'm not paying to see the A Main. I'm paying for the whole race. Plus when I purchased the pass Gold Cup was one of the races that was gonna be streamed... But as time got closer they took it off without saying anything to anyone. That would be like me selling a yearly pass to all my shows but then a few of the shows the sound stops working or my lighting goes out and then I cancel a show or two. I'm pretty sure I would have to issue some refunds. I was never offered any kind of refund or credit? Dirtvision got away with alot of stuff last year and I know what your gonna say is if you dont like it dont buy it and I won't. Now I'm not complaing on having to pay, hell $40 bucks for 3 nights is a great deal in my mind. But you can't charge quality prices if you dont have quality work. XSANS, Jackslash and the Cushion all do great quality work and I have yearly memberships to them all. So why is it ok that DV is gonna charge us the same as those sites yearly pass for only 2 weeks of races. Sounds like a ripoff to me.

Again - XSAN's All Stars from Bubba was $35 for three days ... Chili Bowl from RacinBoys was $99 for five days ... USAC from FL is $39 for three days (or $29 for $15/mo sub members) ... Copper from The Cushion at the end of the month will be $35 for two days. XSAN "pass" - 6mos = $150 or $250 for 12 mos and doesn't include PPV events on "XSAN2". XSAN has doorgangers covered for the year - but barely ANY sprint car racing ... and try to order JUST the East Bay Winternationals = $150 6mo pass is the least I see available....
