If I remember correct, the top three from each night are locked in...The winners from each night draw for the first two rows, then 2nd place finishers draw for rows 3 and 4...Then 3rd place finishers draw for rows 5 and 6. The other 6 rows are filled with the top 6 from each "B" Main.

That jogged my memory...i believe that is correct.thanks for the help.

+1also think I might have to cancel my reservations and switch over to the Trade Winds.
We need more sprint car racing at our home track.

been about 5 years since I stayed at the trade winds, and the place was getting pretty dumpy then, not sure if they have the FLC after hours party yet, but that year it had been taken over by locals and was not near as fun as past years

It snowed about an inch here last night and today, Sunday with temps in the 20's. Going down to single digits tonight. I haven't seen a long range forecast that covers the Chili Bowl period but on average it is cold. Days in the 40's, lows in the 20's. However in past years it has had all types of weather with highs in the 70's and low's in the teens, with rain, snow, sleet or even sunshine. BUT, the temperture inside is warm. Occasionally they will open doors to allow a buildup of fumes and dust to be extracted throught the ventialation exhaust system but warms back up quickly. In addition, the air quality is pretty good throughout the events. The only times you might feel the effects is towards the end of the longer races like the features. Also the air quality is monitored by outside interest and since the installation of the additional ventialation equipment about 10 years ago, the quality of the air has not been a health concern. I hope this helps and WELCOME to INDIAN TERITORY!

If you're sitting on the frontstretch, bring in a hoodie, it can get pretty chilly when the doors are open. If you're in the "end zone", you will be fine in a T-shirt. So far, the forecast looks great for the CB...

Try Albert G's BBQ at either their downtown location at 421 E 1st street or at the original Albert G's BBQ store is 2748 S. Harvard. Bring in your Chili Bowl ticket and present it for a free drink to go with your meal.
Albert G's BBQ sponsors Roger and Lara Miller's #75 midgets driven this year by Travis Berryhill and Thomas Messeraull.
Support those that support the sport !!

I had a room above the balcony at the trade winds for the last 8 yrs. When they put the wall up separating the lobby from the bathrooms they killed the party atmosphere. Went there twice after the races last year and there wasn't 40 folks there. But if all your after is a place to sleep then it serves your purpose.

Note to everyone that Ike's Chili has changed locations since last year's Chili Bowl.....they are now NW of the track, almost downtown.
Second the Vit C, Echunachia, cough drops whatever. Worse if you are a smoker and towards the top of either grandstand.
Tulsa does NOT know how to deal with ice. If ice is an issue (and certainly can be this time of year) then be aware that neither the city, the cars or the drivers are prepared for it.

We will be hitting Joe Mommas Pizza Again. 112 S Elgin in Downtown . Saw this on Adam Richman's Man vs. food show and is as good as he said it was. Great specialty pizzas. half price apps from 4-6. Large portions you wont leave hungry. Nice quiet atmosphere.
Also got Ikes Chili on my list this year I have not eaten there yet.
I always suggest earplugs too as there is such a long duration of noise.

Last time I was there I started the first two days wearing shorts and a tshirt (outside). By the end of the week i was wearing a Winter coat and a Stockin Cap. Inside the building I have never had to dress warm. just prepare for a little of everything!

Another great thing to check out, if they still do it, they have some really cool oval track dirt track RC racing over in one of the barns each day before the Midget races start. Very fun to watch. TS has even been known to turn a few laps as he owns one of the better RC companies.

The best place in town for all services, including drinks, entertainment, food and social activities is at the Hard Rock Casino. Only 10 miles +- from the track. And the chance to win enough to pay for the trip. If you don't leave there a huge winner, at least you have helped the Cherokees in their quest to buy back all the land that was stolen from them. And you may see Tony, Kasey and other celebraties there as the Casino comps their rooms while they are in town. Other great eating joints are Tally's for Breakfast, about a mile from the track and Ike's Chile for lunch, about 2 miles from the track.
