egras, I mostly agree with all you say except, "Public intoxication wouldn't have been a big deal". Any time a person is intoxicated in public he or she most likely has a need or access to drive an automobile. That makes it a BIG Deal! Most fatal accidents are the results of impared driving, either drugs of alcohol.

what i meant was, intoxication not involving a motor vehicle or public streets or highways. i.e.--walking down the sidewalk drunk. I was just being hypothetical. I am not bashing him for drinking is what i was saying. I'm not a saint.

Did I say I condone what he did? I said, if you even read it, that he made some very bad decisons and will be held accountable.
So people who are busted (deservedly so) for DUIs everywhere, everyday, where they put innocent lives at risk is OK, or better than being "drugged up"?
Where did I say he was reformed?
Whatever - I'm sure you can come up with a good joke about him and give him a kick while he's down.

When and if he decides to grow up--and he has truly grown up--and can prove he has grown up, then we will talk about his driving ability and what a great person he has become--if he gets there and is given another chance. (for some dumb reason)
Until then--he is a felon and multiple time offender who will get no sympathy from me or about 75-80% of the other members of this forum. There is no good joke to go with that--I'm being very serious.
Everyone bashes NASCAR but they have one thing right--you only get 2 strikes in NASCAR. Strike 1--suspension. Strike 2--have fun driving dirt tracks the rest of your life--that's apparently the only place that will take him back. I guess dirt track racing can be considered the "Oakland Raiders of the 70's" of racing.
If you want dirt racing to be taken seriously, stop supporting pieces of crap like this guy. The only place he should ever be allowed again in racing is the grandstands. End of story.

Just petition the state of Utah to lock him up and throw away the key if that will make the 75-80% feel better.

i have a friend who use to work at the nascar marina and do a lot of "odd jobs" for nascar brass. some of the stories he tells about the parties, drinking, drugs, women, ect make tyler look like a saint. and apparenty some of you "tyler bashers" have never heard some of the behind the scenes stories about racers parties and some of the things that happen there....now and in the past. i dont condone what tyler did/does but to think he is the only one doing it is stupid and close minded. tylers problem has always been that he gets caught and made a huge example of where a lot of the antics of others either are kept quiet or kept a secret......i guess we will have to wait to see if he learns from this.....i hope so but i wouldnt bet money on it.

I've never seen Kasey Kahne run down the front stretch at the Grove, grabbing his crotch, and yelling you motha fx*x*x. I've never seen Smoke lead police on a high speed chase across state lines. I've never seen Jeff Gordon display the level of disrespect that TW did in the bar video.
Don't preach to me or others about self righteouness. Its TW who apparently thinks he's exempt.

I hope that someone like Aaron Fike has reached out to Tyler. Aaron is a bigger example of a fall from grace than Tyler is, having openly admitted to racing while on heroin. He has since hit rock bottom and completely turned his life around, actually even completely the NASCAR recovery program and I think he's reinstated now. Getting a ride is another story, but that's not the point. I think Tyler needs someone to help him. Maybe he's already getting that help, none of us know. But hopefully he can do his time, do his community service, pay his fines and get on to leading a healthy life. If that involves a sprint car at some point in time down the road, we are all better off for it because his talent can't be argued.

What did i mean by that simple even you can understand- i dont care how many woo races he won; could care less its what he did after that- doing drugs; the way he acted at grove a few years ago ; his temper; thats why i dont like him and i dont care where he is from either and i would not even care if he was living across the street; dont care for people like that !

Its mostly like this i believe if some says something either about walker; larson or any other driver from CA because its TABOO ! Yes i know i heard all the chit on kinser for last 35 yrs so i could less because ni9 heard it before so i am not going to respond to crap like that ! some of friends DIED because of DRUGS so thats why i unloaded on him !

First off Larsonfan, I too am a Larson fan. Why? Talent? No. Lots of talent out there. Good kid? No. I know a lot of good kids. It is a complete package of a good kid who can drive the wheels off a car. Easy to root for. If Larson were a little asshat, he would have about 1/2 the fans (another one of my scientific surveys).
Now--I know a lot of people who have made the mistake of being caught with drugs before.
I know a lot of people who have DUI's
I know a lot of people who smash someone elses property in front of a bar.
I know a lot of people who go off on slanderous, filthy tirades.
I know people who have eluded police when they were in trouble.
However, these are multiple people who made mistakes, learned from them and moved on in life and made something of themselves--they grew up!
Tyler has a history of making bad decision after bad decision. I don't care if he is a nice guy that 90% of the time he's clean. He's an ass when he's not! He took lives in his hands. There are people in prison for armed robbery that are probably nice guys when they are not in the middle of a robbery!
