Hmm, I think it is quite obvious that "gary" doesn't know what he is talking about... Look at how well Brooke did when he was in the #66 and now look at how good he is doing out of the #66. Enough said! I think Billy has made it to 3 out of 4 A feature nationals. Very educated comment, gary.
I think everyone at Knoxville would agree with this comment, "I think the crew and car owners just have too much of a fondness for Kerry and think anyone else who gets in the car is nothing compaired to Kerry. Thus, making it harder on the driver to get heard on what he thinks might be a problem. You know, things like, 'It isn't working up top you need to change this.' Then in the heads of the crew. (Well, Kerry always use to be able to run it with this set up, up high on this kind of surface."

Hey, for once someone quoted me without disagreeing. It was just a thought I had since I had heard a few people talk about it when Ricky was in the car.

a couple years ago billy was the 2nd highest qualifier just a couple points behind danny lasoski after both wednesday and thursday qualifying nights of the nationals. With the points format in time trials, heats and features you cant accomplish that by accident. Obviously he knows how to drive when he is comfortable in the car. He was running top five for most of the saturday night A of the nationals that year before a tire started going down. Once he feels comfortable and finds the right fit he will get back in the groove. I think its obvious what he is in now is not the answer, i feel like he is just wasting time now.

You must not remember that he won the 410 Season Championship in 2006 in the 17G. That was after he drove the 66 car for a short time. So it isn't Billy - it's the car.

hard to see why you people show such contempt, for matt, tony and the other members of the 55 team the equipment there is nearly outlaw caliber, sometimes things dont work out and its not because of a lack of effort from the team, obviosly you people are hatchet men for billy on some sort of crusade and PR campaign to slander and attack a good team for some reason, albiet some sort of kindergarrten back door, gutless BS on matt, well i dont think he is going any where and maybe you people should look at the real problem, watched the driver a few times and dosent do twa laps the same and drives like a pussy obviosly has no confidence maybe time to stick with 360s because he is a long way from being a serious contender in any kind of 410 outlaw situation, no malice here just the facts and this backstabbing backdoor crap just shows how immature the driver really is, have you ever watched hhis antics when he gets out of a car , firing material right there, and if you want to keep on attacking matt he has more points on the board inrace wins than billy does ,

I dont really know any of them personally so I wouldnt say that I am trying to give him any PR. From what I have heard the team gets along really good off the track. However I dont think matt has earned any points... we need to be honest by saying Kerry made that car succeed. I am glad to see that someone is supporting the crew though.

Tony, two reasons that Billy doesn't show up every day at the shop is because he lives in Lincoln, Nebraska which is approximately a 3 hour drive one way and by the time he gets done with his work day (he pours concrete for his dads business) I'm pretty sure he's tired by then to drive a six hour round trip every day!!! Not sure if that qualifies for being "special" or not.

This situation happens all the time in racing after having a driver that an owner and crew was in love with. I am not downing on anyone with the comment. I am trying to keep my mouth shut about this. Oh, and Kerry prolly was at the shop everyday cause he was the one with the ideas, but yet I don't know.

well obviosly guys billy doesnt have what it takes, do you want a regular job or do you want to be a professonal sprintcar driver madsen had to relocate from australia and lincoln is to far away, i guess jackhole your right billy has no idea, time for billy to step up or concentrate on laying concrete

What an idiot!!! If the motors ran and the car was right - Billy would be able to drive it, but it doesn't handle and the motors suck!!!

Kerry had no other job than racing and Billy does. The shop is 3 1/2 hours from Lincoln. It would be a little difficult to be at the shop every day from that distance. But I bet he is there a lot more than you know!!! It is easy to judge other people, isn't it?

He has what it takes!! His records prove it. Have you ever tried racing? It is pretty easy to bad mouth someone when you haven't walked in their shoes! Billy has two 360 National Championships in Knoxville, a 410 Points Championship, and has qualified for the A in the 410 Nationals several times. Lets face it - something isn't working with that car, and it is the car. Hopefully they can find the problem and get on with racing, which is what we all pay money to see.

hey fan for life your obviosuly tight with billy, if its all that junk tell him to quit, heard gifford dont want him back doesnt want to put up with the crap, its easy leave if its that bad, before you bag every thing tell billey to do 20 good ones then well see what happens, but maybe your right maybe we can fire matt and the crew buy more new cars get new motors, maybe they could see if they could hire karl kinser for a little while, that shouldnt be to much of a big deal, face it sometimes things dont work out,

I will hate to see the day when all we have is professional drivers in sprints. I am not sure but I would say like 95% of teh drivers at Knoxville have day jobs. I remember talking with Matt Moro one night at Dingus. He was working at the car lot. If I remember right he told me he knew he would race better if he went full time but that was not what he wanted to do. Racing was a part time thing for him and he loved doing it. Quiting your job and going full time is not stepping up. If you have kfamily and are working for the family business then that is a step down.
Anyway, I love watching full time race car drivers. WoO, All Stars ect. However, just as many are talented who race part time with full time day jobs. Just go to the races and be happy their boss' give them the time off to entertain us cause we would have about 2 410 cars and 0 360 cars to see.
