One big thing they left out and it's something I always tell people when I'm trying to get them to a sprint car race for the first time, no mirrors... 9 out of 10 times when I tell someone we don't have mirrors on Sprint cars they return with, no mirror! In disbelief.

Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.

There wasn't much Knoxville footage at all, how you don't have Allen's win or Shaffer's win is intriguing.  Most likely either Knoxville owns the video footageor FOX does.  So as much as it drives me nuts that the most important race of the year was hardly mentioned.  There are probably reasons for it.  I thought the one thing that should have been touched on is the amount of driver's currently involved in NASCAR that were at one time competed with the World of Outlaws.  And less late models.

Better than not having ANY sprint cars on tv....i'll take it. some people are neverrrr happy. from what i understood (could be wrong) that was the first show, and it was to introduce people to what the WoO is...and now it will be WoO RACES.

#1: The show wasn't SUPPOSED to be geared towards folks on here or who are already knowledgeable about sprint car racing. It was to get interest piqued for the non-fan. They want to bring in people other than the couple of thousand who will watch the weekly shows anyway. And, like it or not, wrecks may get that done. They have to grab the people's attention somehow.

#2: Yes, I found it boring and extremely repetitive. However, the worst part was the 1960's porn 'stache of that Reiff guy. You couldn't see his chin spinach unless the light hit his face exactly right. Otherwise all you saw was that pencil-thin growth on his upper lip.

I too hope that it will get better, but as was pointed out already, they were in a time crunch to get this together. Let's wait to pass judgement until we see a couple of actual races.

Sure, thats the kind of people we need to attract to the race tracks. Those who cheer when they see a wreck. Like the football fans who cheer when a player is laying on the field unconssious. And with my luck they will all sit around me.

No, we need to attract people period. Even those who are brought in by excitement; and there was a lot of that shown on the broadcast and not just the wrecks. Also, if we're lucky we won't attract more keyboard commandos who can't spell unconcious.

I am lucky enough to work at one of the best tracks
anywhere.

Henry, If I remember right they did just that about the time TNN was going to quit showing the WOO. Downright stupid having wrestlers come out & spew there crap while we were supposed to be watching the races.

From what I saw I think Reiff has the hots for Andrews as he sure looked his way alot as he was talking (Instead of looking at the camera)Smile.

Good Lord. The negativity on this board is comical sometimes.

There are quit a few of us video guys that have tons of footage that is broadcast quality. They could see it thru our eyes and get the good stuff.

In 54 years of going to races of all kinds I have seen far to many good men killed or crippled in racing crashes. So excuse the crap out of me if I don't want people at the track who are just there to see nasty crashes because that is the only thing they find entertaining about racing. I would rather be a bad speller than someone who thinks wild rides (bad crashes) are one of the 10 best things about sprint car racing.

Nice to see Dave Reiff involved (Shane as well) involved with this new show.  Smart guy, keen guy and one helluva funny guy which most likely won't come out.  If you ever get a chance to chat with this character, Do It!

Great to see this IA boy back in our sport!!!

Any coverage is better than none.Kaseys and Donny wrecks were both scary and after having been around for a long time I  love racing but hate wrecks especially ones that could have been avoided. The late models are much safer and slower but the racing is much closer. The WRG has lasted longer than the experts predicted and TV coverage will help promote the sport. When you see the empty grandstands at Nascar truck and Nationwide races you know TV must help finance those venues.College football games play to bigger audiences than a sold out Knoxville Nationals and unless you are involved they can be more boring than a 500 mile Nascar race until they start racing at the end.

Wow, think I may have to find a bridge to jump off of, dang.  It's like picking up the good looking girl in the bar and she's clueless in the sack, disappointment is a part of life guys, get over it.

I've met many a so-called expert in a few fields (in my 60+ years on this planet) who didn't have a clue, I daresay we have more than our share in this forum and some may have contributed here.  Dave and Shane are not dummies and know the sport, if they can make the show better they will, give it some time.

Wrecks are a part of the sport, sadly they are often remembered more than victories, especially at boring races.  Heck, people remember a good hockey fight more than the winning goal often but it isn't what the game is all about either.  Maybe somebody can keep me in the loop on this show if possible, I'd like to see where it goes, thanks in advance....

PS  I love a good hockey scrap, had dozens back in the day but I am not a wreck fan and unknowing photoed a few fatals in my day, that is something one never forgets.....

First time I watched it, only saw 2nd half, was expecting actual racing, disappointed. Recorded it at 3 AM & watched it again last nite. Not so bad if you know its just an intro, but too much emphasis on wrecks.

You know what I would have preferred? How about a review of season highlites?

Season highlights would have been nice but where do they get them and on how much notice?  If there plan is to do actual shows in a condensed version then things will be fine.  That is pretty much what the W of O poster said in their post.  Of course I know the negative nancy types would never read and understand that, lol.  How about a review AFTER they do their actual first show, if it's not good then have at it, thanks for your input, back to your regular scheduled life....

I'm glad someone finally noted the intentional mistake and was amused. Smile
