And I just don't understand some of you "fans".....honestly how can you say Kyle Larson is not amazing?  Just turned 21 and has more wins than alot of veteran drivers....winged 360...winged 410....non wing...midget....truck.....NASCAR    K& N series.....doesn't matter what he races...or where he races....he's ALWAYS up front contending.....way more times than not......So...is he better than Lasoski?  Well.....Danny has over 30 years experience...Kyle is 21 years old.....I don't think that's really a fair ?......But if you're a true fan you gotta appreciate talent and Larson definitely is full of talent....and Lasoski showed why he is the best in the history of Knoxville last night also....Just my 2 cents worth

Jealousy, one of the seven deadly sins, isn't it?  Some people never will get it, last nights A-Main was one of the better ones I've seen in some time....

This is the thing that really bothers me re: Larson. The kid is amazing. He's got bundles of talent. But his supporters show blatant disrespect to other drivers constantly, this original post included. 

He's incredibly versatile and can win in anything he's been put in. But this a board that is centered around Winged Sprint Car racing and there's quite a few guys who solely drive Winged Sprint Cars that I would take over Larson. Truth be told, you can look at the facts alone and see why I say this. Larson's 1/16 (6.25%) for wins in Winged 410 races on US soil this year. And I'm supposed to all of a sudden take him as a favorite for the biggest Winged Sprint Car race of the year?

I don't personally dislike or disrespect Larson. He's an incredible driver with a lot of talent and will likely have a very long and successful career, but I do not consider him in near the top echelon in Winged Sprint Car racing at this point. It's no disrespect to him - just being truthful.

However, saying anything that's not 100% positive of Larson on here is apparently akin to denouncing Catholicism in Eastern Europe in the late middle ages. 

+1  the kid did great. its safe to say he has already went farther than dude did..

So I'll take a shot at converting you: (providing my stats are correct)

All of this while running a Stock Car on Pavement and Winning the K&N Series. I'll take my chances betting on
Larson racing Anything, Anytime, Anywhere, because even if he doesn't win, it's a hell of a show!

If you haven't seen that race, find a way to see it. That was an epic battle by both drivers. Larson applied all the pressure he could and the Dude held him off. Some of the cleanest dicing for a win you'll ever see. Hats off to the Dude and the Norcal Ninja! 

All outstanding numbers - the 410 non-winged number is really impressive. But like I said, I'm more of a Winged Sprint Car fan than anything and that's the majority of what this forum is about. 24% a year ago is really good as well. 

It's just not as good as someone like Schatz, who has won 16 of of 55 (29%) in 2013 against much stiffer competition.

It's pretty annoying to see people just flat out miss my point repeatedly. Larson's a fantastic driver and in overall driving skill, there's only few better, but when you focus solely on Winged Sprint Cars there's several that I would put in my theoretical ride before him. 

That race was really fun to watch.  Not only was there a great battle for first, but behind them there was action all over the track.  That was just night 1 of 10!  Can't wait for the rest of it.

As for saying that Larson isn't as good because of his numbers this year in a winged car.  I would say that if he focused only on racing sprint cars every night and ran 55 times like the outlaw guys have that his numbers would be pretty comparable to anyone in the country.  Think of the difference between running a sprint car at different tracks around the country now add to it the difference between: wings, non-winged, 360, 410, midget, nationwide, K&N, and trucks.  It isn't an easy thing to go between such a variety of cars each week and still run well in every single one of them.  The talent of Larson is undeniable.

I have been watching sprint car racing since 1975 when I was 10 years old. I saw Sammy come through the c-main at Knoxville in 77, i was there. I saw Wolfgang dominate in in the mid 80's. I was there. I saw Kinser dominate. I saw Sammy and Schatz wrestle at the 50th Nationals. I saw Jan Opperman ride the rim at Millstream....

After wathcing Kyle Larson during All Star Sprint week last year and this year, I have to say that he is just as talented as the best. the way he throws his car around and wills it into tight spots, and still keeps control...I just have to say Wow!

My suggestion for all of the fans is to Just enjoy Kyle Larson while we can. Enjoy them all, because they are all great racers.

Yeah he schooled mister Larson...10000 laps there vs 200 laps ,maybe??  How many laps to make a graduate??  Want to bet on who finishes in front saturday?? ...No...didn't think so....
