Yup, Stevie has decided to stay home and get ready for the WoO invasion next week. Hodnett on Winged Nation today said he is a maybe for the Kings Royal.

Fridays crowd is not nearly as big as Saturday's crowd. You better get there around 5:00 - 5:30 latest on Saturday for decent parking. I usually park outside of the pit gate off of turn four. I prefer to get there early and enjoy the ambiance under one of the shade trees in Earl's yard there.

Can't wait for the Kings Royal this year! Will my 9th or 10th consecutive Kings Royal event. About a six hour trip from here in the out skirts of Chicago. Always a great two nights of racing. My early bet this year is Daryn Pittman or Kerry Madsen. Mad Man has been so close since he battled The King Steve Kinser while driving that Blue and Orange #3 back in '08 or '09 only to lose it on dang near the last lap. As for the 360's they get the job done. Wisconsin's Scotty Thiel has posted on Twitter that he is making the trek to The Big E to compete against the NRA too!

Anybody else give info on what's good to eat out there? Eat at the track or nearby, anything to do by the track, any local attractions to check out? Any help would be great thank you!

The track food is pretty good for what it is, track food. Decent carnival like selections if you're into that...

You can't go wrong with the track chicken wings. If you are camping at the track I believe that the St. Henry night club runs a shuttle up there for breakfast in the mornings.

TV coverage is LONGGGG gone for the World of Outlaws (and may not EVER return).
Speed goes away in August and they have been getting rid of people since the announcement of Fox Sports 1.
My guess is that the WoO brass is going to have to crawl to MavTV (Lucas Oil) if they want any TV coverage again and I don't see that happening personally.
If Dirtvision could ever get off their a$$e$ and make their video work better (like the cushion or turn2media), they may have an opportunity to broadcast their own races (but they need to make it FREE in order to grow the fanbase and obtain more sponsors). But again, it will NEVER happen, everything is about selling everything for $$$ (Deery & Co. learned that when they worked for NASCAR).

You're right there bro.....360s, 305, non-wing - they suck. Nothing better than a 410 parade where you can count passess for position on one hand with three fingers missing. Hot laps all night long! Forget those other horrible sprint cars classes on a bullring , 3-wide, I'd much rather pay top $$ to see a parade!

BMD, Annie Oakley's grave isn't too far away. It's off of 127 South. never been there myself so I don't know if it's big deal or not. Just seen the sign when I go down that way. If you are camping at Eldora that should give you enough to do right there. Alot of times there is so much crazy crap going on it's not funny !!!!

I really hope The Cushion/Turn2 or some other startup can expand their coverage to include other dirt racing as well. In my mind, companies like Turn2 are the future for great race coverage. Screw network/cable. I have no issues getting my racing coverage exclusively via internet. Most people have the tech to watch it on their TV's anyway.

It's not on The Cushion's schedule - I'd bet Eldora retained the video rights for its own usage.
