I think 16 cars finished the race. Blaney had the fastest car regardless.

Thanks...Did anyone happen to catch a time for the feature...?...:/

In all fairness regarding Cole Duncan...He took a winter course @ Posse U where he obtained a masters degree in the Riff Rafferty School of Handicapping...wink

In all fairness every PA regular could have taken the win if they would have finished first either over Blaney or Duncan!! IF grandma had balls she would have been grandpa!

Dear Dave Blaney, why do u race the taxicabs in NASCAR,you went from winning races with WoO to running 30th in taxicab land? Does nascar pay more to start and park?Dave i am one of your fans, please go back to winning races like you used to please.

When LAST place @ most NASCAR races pay $80,000, I think it's pretty easy to figure out.

Dave's BEST years in a sprint car, they probably grossed $600,000 tops, I am venturing to guess that through 4 races this year (Daytona, Phoenix, Vegas, and Fontana, that they have exceeded that $ figure and still have 32 races left this season).

Running 30th in NASCAR has allowed him to provide for his family, put his kids through school (if they wish to attend college), and own his own race shop and provide cars for his kids to race (Emma and Ryan both raced for quite some time, and until recently, Dave funded Ryan's program until he was picked up by BKR / Penske).

Take a look at what those guys are grossing (even the start and parkers) every year, the driver can get 10% and still take home nearly 1/2 a million for running 10 laps every week. The top guys really pull in the dough (although personal sponsorships helps alot with the front runners like Jr and Smoke and Kez and teh like).

The fact that Dave has lasted this long in NASCAR is a testament to how talented he is and how well thought of he is. In a world where family money can buy rides and youth/good looks can sometimes overshine true talent, Dave has managed to keep his name in the highest level of racing in this country for the better part of the last 15 years. And make a great living while doing it. There is a helluva lot to be said for that. If someone gave me the choice of running 30th in the Sprint Cup for the next 15 years or running with a top flight WoO team for the next 15 years, I'd pick the Sprint Cup ride even though I love sprint car racing infinitely more than NASCAR. Why? To provide for my family for hopefully generations to come. I love it when guys like Tony, Kasey, and Dave strap back into a sprint car whether they win or DNQ because it shows where their hearts are at. As a sprint car fan, it's pretty cool knowing that these guys would rather be strapping into a sprint car than a Cup car. I'm sure if they paid the same they'd never strap into another stock car again.

Lets get this straight right off the bat. Money is all that matters. Any driver that went home to an honest normal life or to another series after trying NASCAR should be ashamed. The big bucks should completely rule our entire life. If anything besides making more money drives someone, something is seriously wrong with that person.

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

The total time was a bit over 70 minutes.

The race paid $3300 to win.

No Ford in sight at the Port !

The love of money is the root of all that is good. Favoring a less artificial series with less money instead of NASCAR and all its politics is just plain stupid.

Now that Karl is retired and Steve and Sammy are considering Depends, Dave could probably win a WoO title or the Kings Royal without a Ford.

Your acting like he's selling his soul to the devil every Sunday he gets into his Sprint Cup car, or like sprint car racing is such a pure and moral high ground compared to Nascar racing. Kart91 stated it correctly, just cause you might not enjoy watching Nascar doesn't mean that others can't. You talk about him just following money and being such a heathen for it, its his job and his career and he took the path that he receives a bigger pay check, I for 1 have no problem with that. Also to add in that he is able to get his son's foot in the door of Nascar as well through his contacts.

Its not like he's hating every minute of it, I can only imagine how much of a rush it is to drive a sprint cup car 200 MPH around Daytona on 1 of the biggest racing stages there is. I see nothing dishonest about what Dave has decided to do in his life and now he is at a point where he is coming back to what he use to do, race sprint cars. I don't see why its hard to be happy for the man that he is able to have a good career in Nascar and now can be happy to see him coming back to sprint car racing more as well.

Its just frustrating to me when people even on a sprint car message board consider guys like Daryn Pittman or Josh Richards or Greg Hodnett not "making it" like the guys or girl riding around in the back on Sundays.

I wouldn't worry too much about getting frustrated with what some people say about other drivers on the internet, most all of the time those people spewing their garbage and hate for someone are just unhappy jealous people who believe for whatever reason they should of had this chance or that and to make up for it they decide to bring other people down. They can have that attitude for themselves and walk around unhappy all the time in there own fog. I'd rather enjoy life and be happy for others and enjoy the fact that I get to witness that moment. Whether its Dave Blaney or Kyle Larson or Greg Hodnett, I like racing and very rarely pick a favorite or a villain, I can pretty much always just be happy if I'm able to see a good race, even Sammy can frustrate me when he says something that seems dumb, but I still find myself cheering for him if he's having an impressive run.

I would like to have seen Blaney run his whole career on dirt as well but I just can't fault him for taking the opportunity he's got and to tell the truth I enjoy tuning into a race and see where he's running and the other sprint car related guys, their who I cheer for in any Nascar race. I can't think of alot of sports related things that would have made me happier than if last year at Daytona when Montoya hit the jet dryer, if they would of had to of called that race and Blaney would have been the winner, I know it wouldn't have been a true win but it still would have been cool for him.
