I hope NASCAR calls Stewart into the red truck & tells his prima donna ass that he cannot punch drivers because they won't move over for him simply because he is the great Tony Stewart. I had the utmost respect for the talent of Stewart until today when his only talent displayed was to show himself for the ego maniac he seems to be. He's blocked for a win & he damn well knows it, so quit bitching & act like a man instead of a spoiled brat.

Stewart is the pot calling the kettle black. He'd do the same damn thing in Logano's shoes. In fact, he did the same damn thing to Kahne the restart before that. Bunch of crybabies. Shut up and race and leave everything on the track. I guess NASCAR needs the soap opera for ratings.

I'm a fan of Smoke's and not really a fan of Lagano, but.... Was Joey supposed to just move over and let Tony pass? WTF? Would Tony have done that had the roles been reversed, I think not.

Tony confronting Logano was unclassy but little Joey saying"He got what he deserved"as Hamlin was loaded in ambulance was MUCH worse.

Logano falls right in line with the class level of driver @ Penske.

Jeremy Mayfield is probably SO proud.

when joey made that comment he didn't know denny was hurt. he meant ending up crashed was what denny deserved, not hurt. i'm not a big fan of either one, but they did put on a good race.

Didn't Danica say something similar...that cars wouldn't pull over to let her by? Must be something to do with SH Racing! Wink

Logano is a crybaby. he sucks on the track and has the nerve to say thats what Denny gets. I hope Denny and Smoke put that little peace of burnt toast in the wall every week.

Nearly all drivers are cry babies at some point. I'll bet most of us wouldn't be any different if we were flying around a track at 200mph with 40+ other self-centered, adrenalin-hyped, competitors.

Let's face it; most of us have been a little disappointed with our favorite drivers when they claimed foul in a situation where they were wrong but wouldn't admit it. I like Tony for lots of reasons, but I was disgusted by his profanity-laced TV interview. As others have stated, Tony would have blocked (and has on other occasions) if he were in Lagano's situation.

Lagano lost his ride at Gibbs. Anybody think he feels like he has something to prove? Penske has to be thrilled with his new driver's performance. BTW, he's 9th in points; ahead of Stewart (22nd) and Hamlin (10th). I hope he apologizes for his "got what he deserved" statement about Hamlin. No driver should want another driver to get hurt in an accident.

I love close racing, and I love it when we see drivers push hard for wins. That's what Joey, Denny, and Tony were all doing. You can't have that kind of racing and not get ruffled feathers. Let's hope this excitement continues, or that by some miracle we start getting national TV coverage of sprint car racing. Otherwise, we're going to keep suffering with NAPCAR boredom on Sunday afternoons.

I pray Denny is okay and that these two guys are able to keep up their rivalry without resorting to hurting each other. I also pray that Tony cools down and realizes he's the "pot calling the kettle black".

why do some of you keep perpetuating the idea that the statement joey made about denny getting what he deserved was about denny getting hurt?

joey made that statement before he knew denny was hurt. he made the statement referring to denny ending up crashed, not being hurt.

there is enough stuff flying around without some people trying to make more of the situation than it is. and distorting the meaning of what someone said doesn't help.

i really don't have any use for either one of those cry babies, but get the story straight before you pass it on.

Maybe that dumbass lagano should know what he is talking about before he goes shooting his mouth off. . Smoke has done somethings he shouldn't be proud of, and I am one of his biggest fans. But you can always count of him telling it the way it is and not the pc version. He was spot on in his evaluation of joey and his ability to drive. . .

Yes, that was an unclassy coment to make, especially when at that point nobody knew how seriously Hamlin was injured. Hope Hamlin is OK with only minor soreness.

Just read somewhere that Hamlin has a lower compression fracture in his back. Wishing him a speedy recovery. As for Lagano, I will keep my comments to myself.

If Logano didn't pee his pants when Smoke jumped him after the race (which I am willing to bet he did) I am willing to bet that he will be in the near future. Now that the other drivers know the extent to which he will go to exact revenge on another driver he will be getting turned around and in the fence more often than he can ever comprehend.

Undated-- Denny Hamlin suffered a compression fracture in his lower back during Sunday's last-lap crash at Fontana, Calif.

Joe Gibbs Racing disclosed the injury Monday and said Hamlin was expected to be released soon from a Southern California hospital to return home. He has what is called an L1 compression fracture; essentially, the first vertebra in the lumbar section of his spine collapsed.

There was no immediate word on how long his recovery would take.

Hamlin was hurt during a crash with Joey Logano at the end of Sunday's race. He complained of lower back pain afterward.

just what revenge did joey enact?

you aren't talking about the crash are you?

by the accounts of most unbiased and reasonable people that was a racing incident and nothing more. the only people who are perpetuating the idea that joey stuffed denny, and continue to claim he was talking about denny's injury when he said denny got what he deserved are those who are just trying to stir up shit or have an agenda.

by the way, tony must be off his meds. he was ranting at chico and then accusing joey of blocking.

ask kemenah what he thinks of the block tony threw on him sat at chico.

i think tony is just having an emotional breakdown because so far in cup he sucks, newman sucks and he knows he is stuck with danica for a couple more years.

All ya gotta do is watch the replay. Lagano run out of talent about half a lap to soon. Can't hold his line. Gets into denny(he had a choice to keep in it. Or stay in control)and then admits in his interview that denny got what he deserved.(His own words). All the arm chair excuse makers for lagano should read the majority of joeys co workers reaction to smokes interview on joey. . . Pretty easy to see lagano is going to have a tuff rest of this year. . . You are right tho. Seems like kemmenah can't keep the car right side up the last couple races. And I'm sure all the merch sales and attention that danica has brought to stewrt-haus is really keeping smoke up at night trying to figure out how to get out of her contract. Lmao. Between danica on the pole and larson and now the denny-joey show. Add in the g-6 cars and you have the best show nascar has had in yrs . .

Let's get one thing straight old man: I don't think he was suggesting that INJURING a driver was what he intended. The fact of the matter is that he spoke out of his ass with a microphone that happned to be on when he probably should have said "no comment". To suggest that the two of them didn't race eachother harder because of Bristol is just absurd but the guy who replied after you said it best "he (Logano) ran out of talent about a half a lap too soon". He wrecked two cars for his car owner and injured a teammate. I've seen guys get fired for just wrecking one. Hell I've seen guys get fired WHILE they were wrecking one. He won't get fired but he will be paying for this incident for the remainder of the season and - if he survives - maybe he will mature in the process. As far as Stewart goes he is what he is and I for one would not want him pissed off at me. So have fun with that one Joey :-)......

I never thought we would be arguing NASCAR stuff on this site..especially since "real racing" has begun!

Did Logano really throw a water bottle at smoke? If so...that's funny.

I only saw the end of the clip from Chico Saturday night so would like to see more of that incident between Kemenah and Smoke. I hope Smoke doesn't wear out his dirt-track welcome too soon!
