Hello folks, I'm new here.
I spoke at length with Donnie Beechler in his hometown of Springfield, Illinois last October. Donnie is completely retired from driving and, as many former drivers, really doesn't have much interest in spectating. Donnie has a great looking young family and stays exceedingly busy running his business' there in the Sherman-Springfield, Illinois area.
Donnie says his kids love going to the races and he takes them periodically but says that his racing days are definitely behind him.
I've spoken with Donnie several times over the past few years and he is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet.
I also always thought DB got a bit of a raw deal from A.J. Foyt during his stint driving Indy Cars, but he wasn't the first to get a raw deal from A.J. and won't be the last.

how about Terry Pletch? Super nice guy, and a heckuva shoe, ran the Masters Classic a few years ago at Knoxville.............
