It only takes a couple of minutes to give line ups. After qualifying there is sometimes 10 to 15 minutes before opening ceremonies. I believe that most of the time they have the line ups by then. If not, give them all before they push off the first heat. And I don't think music of any kind is what brings fans back. It is entertainment and value. Younger fans aren't going to pay $35.00 to enter the gates, $6.00 per beer and whatever food costs. Hell, you can't even bring in your own water to drink. Value, that is what will bring any age group back, always. And like I said earlier, it isn't the music as much as it is the volume and the timing. I think there is plenty of time to squeeze in line ups for us die hards. You want to keep us coming back also, right?

And one thing you didn't mentionis for the teams is the $50.00 fee to enter the gates. I can't believ they still charged $50.00 for practice on Thursday. And that is $50.00 per person, not team. And it would be different for us if the profit from concessions went towards the purse, not the fairgrounds

It just seems like my original post has turned into a what does it take to keep the sport alive and well . Which as fans, I am sure that is what we all want. And as consumers, in todays economy we have to make wise financial decisions in how we spend our entertainment dollar. And in todays times I think as promoters and track operators, in order to keep stands and the pits full, there could be a little sacrifice there also.

Because at clubs where a lot of "young people' hangout at there isn't any type of loud music, expensive beer, and over priced cover chage's, and inflated food cost's at all. What are all these promoters thinking?

That is what they are going there for. Loud music and alcohol. When I go to a race, that is what I want to see and hear. A race!
