Ok, so I need some help. I downloaded the rFactor game, and got the sprint car mod from Bozracing and the Knoxville track. When I try to load a game, I select the Boz series and when I click on Load Circuit it takes me to a road course in a bodied car. What am I doing wrong? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Jump on the forum on BOZ Sprint cars and or check all the downloads and make sure you have all the skins downloads and make sure you have the 2010 mod update.. also do you have a 64 bit os? (operating system) if so check your c drive under program files and see if all the sprint car stuff is installed there if so it needs to be under program filesX86. If you have a 64bit OS. all mods will be installed and should be installed under drive c; program files/rfactor/game data/ if you have a 64 bit system should look like this c;program files(x86)/rfactor/gamedata/ when installing any mod. if its not in the right area delete the items installed in rfactor and try reinstalling them.

I'd like to see Turn 10 (the makers of the Forza franchise) create a game that involves sprint cars and various other dirt racing.

Just my $.02

I wanna see need for speed and EA do it NFS Shift made me feel like I was hauling balls from the helmet view. plus the way that you tore up a car and set it up felt good too.

Wow, didnt know this was so popular on here... You will want to download teamspeak 3 and get the 32 bit free version. I help run the sprintcarsonline site and helped in the gyb server. Most people here are willing to help get people up to speed. My name on there is bsidewayz.... Hope most of you make it over there... I got settings for the wheel and controller... best of luck

If you have a desktop then get it. If you only have a laptop, don't bother, unless it has a very fast processor.

not really... I run on a laptop and have my own server and my own teamspeak and i dont glitch... and my connection is wireless... and i run half way decent... BSIDEWAYZ

you are going to want to look in your files and see where your rfactor is. some are in the (x86) and some dont have it. after you see where that is, then when you get to the insall portion of the download, you might have to change where it goes.

Or it could be a permission thing. I havent had to deal with that, but you might need to change the computers settings or maybe trying doing it as administrator.

I was going to say the same thing probably need to check your antivirus settings or download the files and install them as the administrator.

So I ran the program as administrator and that fixed the not being able to get the Boz Series working. But now when I load a race, it goes to the loading screen and does nothing. Any ideas?

go to the program files and see where the track is installed or reinstall the track. This is where it can get real confusing... alot of online servers such as BOZ or USDRA or Sprintcarsonline have their own track if you are just testing a track or practicing it should load up.. If it freezes maybe its how the track got installed... I have had this happen your not alone download a different track or the whole track pack on BOZ sprints web site.. GL let us know and we will get you there.. also when you select a car make sure you buy it.. you have to click buy up top where the gold looking coins are.. Hope this helps.

Tried deleting the tracks and installed a couple of different ones, now when I try to load, it kicks me out of the game all together. Sorry to be so helpless, but I'm not sure what I am doing wrong.

So I got the kicking me out of the game part figured out, but I tried downloading Knoxville again, and when I load it, it still just stays at the loading screen and doesn't do anything.

In the upper left corner of the tracks downloads page you will see a download for a file called "brl track add-on". Download this file and install it. These are files that are outside of the main tracks folders that are required for the tracks to run properly. Then, re-install the track files that you're trying to run and see if that solves the issue. If this doesn't solve the issue, feel free to contact me through private message on here and we can discuss trying a simple method for me to take remote control of your computer and I can install the files in their proper location for you. You will be able to see everything that I'm doing so, there is no danger to your machine.

No, the handling in those games are so unrealistic. They are fun for street racing games, and car chases, but not for a sprint car game.

ok dont ask me why, but ever since they installed the new RFM download, i have the same problem. However, if you hit the space bar when the yellow loading line is halfway, it will work... Just keep hitting the space bar. Hope this helps.... Look forward to seeing more people joining

The rFm shouldn't have anything to do with the way that the track loads. I've built a couple of different mods for the game/sim, assisted with the boz sprints and built the track model that's being discussed and have never ran into this issue.

Thank you PowerSlave, I didn't even see the add-on download there. I will try that when I get home tonight. Hopefully that will do the trick.

Make sure you run rFactor as an admin every time. (Right click on the rFactor icon, and then click "run as administrator) I had a few problems with tracks loading etc before I learned about that little trick. Hope that may help some people!

I downloaded the track add on file, and it works now. Thanks everyone for all of your help. Now I just need to get all of the late model stuff downloaded and go racing. I ordered a logitech driving force gt wheel and it should be here in a week, so hopefully I can get that all setup when it gets here.
