Yes He is; and nice Guy in person to because he allways have time to pose by his car for me so I have NO complaints !

My father and his father raced together a few times and I have known him since he was knee high....He has always been gracious and classy....

The biggest reason people boo him....the same reason they Booo'd Kinser in the late 90's early 2000's....he won tooo much. Like it or not, there needs to be a guy (or gal) who wins too much...without it everyone feels the field is too watered down

snowtown, my opinion of schatz has been formed over 3 occasions, 2 of them following wins, the other after Gold Cup 06, where my friends & I told him we kept him in our thoughts, he chuckled and said "whatever". Had he treated you or anyone, like that, I can't say how others would feel but we all felt kind of small, or shitty, or whatever. By the posts of many on this board, he hasn't always been classy or gracious. So I guess it's just how he feels like being on any given night. Not singling you out, just wondering if a driver has repeatedly snubbed you, do you still respect the person. BTW, he'll go down as one of the greats

No one has really knocked his driving at all, or cant you read either. Hes an asshole, and thats our opinion. Why does he get booed at every race track can ya answer me that question ? Maybe all those people that boo him are just stupid too. Blow me.

Do you know how many times I've heard that story about the little boy and throwing the shirt in the trash story on this forum, and by how many different people? More damn times that I can count, that how many! It's turned into some kind of urban legend, that along with a lot of other untrue crap that's thrown around on this forum about driver's.
Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.

If Schatz would have won off the front row, I'd be disappointed.
He didn't. I don't know what more you want than a guy coming from 15th to win.
Again, I'll say I am not a Schatz fan by any means. But the guy did the god damn job. What else do you want?
Based on what I've seen on this forum, sprint car fans are terrible people. They want a perfect ending every damn race.

When are they going to get rid of the name-calling azzholes on this forum, the jealous ones, the envious ones, the ones who can't stand to see their driver beat, the ones who aren't really race fans in my eyes. Race fans: no, not when you have that much hatred in your tiny little brain with unconnected brain cells for some of the men and women who risk their lives pushing these 900 HP beasts around the tracks of America.
Congratulations to our two North Dakotans, with 5 or 6 laps to go, it looked like we'd have two of our own citizens in the top 5, but someone must have passed Mark for 5th at the end, so he settled for 6th. Great anyway. Proud of you young men. Some of us call Dobmeier the Dominator here in Grand Forks, Schatz, we'll call him the Doninator.

I thought they were suppose to stop the race at the half way point 25laps? Doug waved the yellow at lap 27 and 23 to go. If shane would have had the extra 2 laps at the end I personally think he would have gotten Donny or woulda been darn close! I am not sure on this dont jump me I am just asking. Anyone winning from 13th a guy who got 2nd from 17th and a Timmy getting to 4th from 9th! One hell of a race!

If you think its all an "urban legend" BigFish then maybe you dont have a clue there buddy. I seen it first hand. A buddy of mine was a Schatz fan and was waiting in line to get his shirt signed when this happened to the little boy. I thought my buddy was gonna throw up. He told me, "I think Id rather wipe my ass with this shirt now than to ever have him sign it"....and thats the truth!! You just dont do that to your fans. Whether you like it or not, your a hero to many people who look up to you, especially little kids. I have always been a fan of Joey Saldana and Paul McMahan(true, classy gentlemen in this sport we all love) and each and every time, whether they have a great night or not so good, they were gracious enough to stick around and sign t-shirts, photo's other races shirts, and stayed around all night to do it. Another one I might add that always did that was Steve Kinser. Always classy in victory, always gracious in defeat. Those people are heros and role models...Donny Schatz....NOT SO MUCH!!

My BS detector was going off also about the little kid/tshirt story. Anyone who knows Donny would find it hard to believe. Probably just another pissed off fan that didn't get what he/she wanted...whatever that might have been. I don't know, I wasn't there. But on the other hand, is he/she telling "the whole story?" Kinda like the famous old news clip of the LA cop repeatedly hitting a handcuffed teenager in the back and head while bent over the police car.What the news media DIDN'T admit about that clip is that the teenager had a firm grip on the officers nuts, which you couldn't see, and wasn't letting go.
So like I said...is the Schatz hater telling "the whole story?" It doesn't really matter...he or she has their mind made up and doesn't want to be confused with any facts.....kinda like a liberal Democrat.
Some people just don't like winners. A racer goes on a tear and there are always those who think, "That's enough! Someone else should win now. You've won your share" .........kinda like a liberal Democrat.
I've always refused to get worked up when someone makes a bold statement on an internet forum where you don't have ro post your real name. Hoseheads is a great place to keep up with the sport, stay in touch with fellow race fans, even engage in a little debate.
But if you make a bold statement or accusation, and you don't have the pelvic courage nuggets to put your name on it...then what you say means nothing.

I agree chucky if this person really is a Heskin crew member I would have to believe he is soon to be an ex-crew member. The Heskin family is far to classy to allow this type of post be associated with their team. A very polite and classy team. Well done this week Davey and Danny
