That's where you are right, as long as enough people say the word wrong, it becomes accepted- I know I say motor as Rich does, but whoever came up with the term "motorsports" was probably heavily responsible for polluting our minds......
My pet peeve is irregardless....means the same as regardless, and now enough people say it, that it's made its way into the dictionary in the last decade or so!!

Ah yes, how about "conGRADulations. Drives me crazy.
Ty Dillon on Speed Channel last night repeatedly said, "Me and my brother".
Oops, I got on the wrong website. I thought that I was on grammerfan.com.

Respected? Ha!
My opinion? The sprint car beats the midget. Even a 360. Why? Because (believe it or not) Ventura is a motor track. Yes, it's small but motor gets you around there. I think you need a flattish track with a crap surface like Las Vegas or Laughlin. Maybe something like Brownstown or Grandview in the east to give the midget a real shot at it. I'd say Laughlin would be the best bet. No clay, flat corners.

"The sprint car beats the midget" Sounds like a sure
thing. Giving odds? ....lol

Ron Shuman the flying shoe would have won it going away on a 1/4 mile track in a Midget, or maybe even at Ascot.

I will see your Flyin Shu and raise you a Sleepy Tripp... Sleepy was the best I ever saw in a midget consistently over time, but lets get real folks. The Midget Car loses.
Manzanita was a momentum track. Very small mistakes cost you a lot of distance in a hurry, the guys that were good there were smooth and consistent. like Leland. Although you were going so much faster there things always seemed to happen slowly. Everyone who was good there drove a lap or two ahead of where they actually were on the track and had great anticipation.

Ok,....here's my 2 cents on the deal, coming from a guy that ran midgets. It all depends on the track conditions. The more the sprint has to get off the throttle to set the car into the corner, the closer the times will be for the midget. If it starts getting dry and slick, with a cushion near the fence, I'll put my money on a good driver in a midget over the sprint car.
And yes, Sleepy was one of the best I ever drover against.
