Heats were fairly good, each one had a decent battle somewhere on the track. Cap Henry slid his head up his rear in warmups for the dash, and promptly slid it into the fence in turn 2 to bring out the red. Normally not a big deal, but it took the tow truck 6 minutes (no, not an exaggeration) to get to the car and then they had to think about how to pick it up for another 3 minutes. (All-Stars dropped the ball on this one, I thought they required a certain qty of tow trucks) All the while the drizzle was soaking the track.

When the dash finally started, it was a skating rink. It appeared that the drivers were not ready for the start as they were fairly spread out in turn 3 when the green flew, very sloppy start, and continued into a decent ballet show.

Certainly could have been a quicker show, slowed by each taxicab feature requiring an average of 3 starts. The sprint racing was good while they were on the track, but the fact that there were only two push trucks kindy killed the show. Yes, I did say two.

Either way, the first show of the year is in the books and we head to Ocala tomorrow!

Enjoy the trip, all of us Iowans are jealous of your travel plans. Sorry to hear about the junk weather you've been having though. Justin
