Spoken by someone who has has obviously never driven a XXX, or any other brand probably.... So why has Steve Kinser used Maxim for so long? Because he had to pay for them?
This topic has been beaten to death on this board as well as countless others. Why does everyone feel the need to bash something they don't agree with? Why not explain why your favorite brand is better? (American made isn't a valid excuse due to the fact that 90% of the things YOU ALL use daily is not American made) XXX actually builds a very competitive car (obviously, they win races). I have 3 of them now, I have won races with XXX and hopefully will continue to do so as long as I can afford racing. Which I might add, XXX is helping me do by building a cheaper racecar. Customer support is leap years ahead of the "Big 3". I have ran the "other brands", none compare to the XXX, none have been as easy to set up, and none have been as affordable. So complain all you want to about the "foriegn" cars, I think I will continue to keep winning races with them........

Spoken like a true sellout.
Kinser could have had any cars for free during his career.
Montieth was faster in a 100 race old Maxim.
They only reason they are running them is because they're free.
You're delusional if you think otherwise.
They don't even know how to spell sprint car
much less chromoly...http://www.ycmco.com

Dont worry about these chassis being made in China cause as soon as those Chinese welders start getting all high and mighty and demand a $1.50 an hour to weld them up they will be made in India or Pakistan for $0.25 an hour. Thats the virtue of free market capitalism, right?
Cheers!

Are you going to consider your beloved Posse teams sellouts when they decide to switch to a XXX? What will the Cubic world come to if Dewease or Rahmer decide they want to run one? Why don't you shut your trap. As far as I know this is still a free country and people can choose what type of car they want to run without asking the all knowing Cubic for his opinion. Have a great day.

Wow, since when did standing up for American made products make someone the target for derision?

I guess the same time saving money on a new chassis became a crime against America.......

It has nothing to do with standing up for American made products. It has everything to do with with this idiot Cubic calling people sellouts amongst other things in every thread that has to do with XXX chassis. I get it, he doesn't like them. Good for him, but, apparently there are others that do and don't need his permission to go and buy one. Oh yeah, quit fooling yourself if you think all "American" chassis are made with all American parts.

How does that make me a sellout? I have a BETTER chassis for LESS money. Sounds like the RIGHT decision for me. I guess I should spend more money on something that won't win races for me? That sounds more delusional than my idea, please explain otherwise. When it comes down to buying a XXX or quitting racing altogether because you can't afford it. I don't think there is a single person who would choose to quit. Other than you.....But you don't race so that isn't a problem
Kinser could have any cars he wanted, but he had Maxim because he had to pay for them right? That was the question.
Who cares if 1 person was faster in a 100 race old Maxim, if I didn't put the right setup on my XXX, I probably would be too.........
Mine aren't free, I run them, so how does "only run them because they are free" really matter? Lots of racers BUY them and WIN races, what's your point? I would run them if they were free too......
Your close minded approach to all topics you post on easily expains all your "ideas". Yet, I still say you have absolutely NO experience with any car at all. You are one of those guys who gets on the forums as soon as you get home to read the results from all the tracks you refuse to go to.
Before you say I am close minded, anti-American, delusional, or whatever other big word you find in the dictionary, remember this. I have ran Maxim, wouldn't take adjustments. J&J was good when it was new, but quickly slowed down after it got close to 1 season on it. Gamblers were great, wish they still made them. I have won races in an Avenger, but it wasn't because the car was that great. I have ruled out the other choices by trial, not opinion, have you???

There are plenty of us that run a XXX chassis that have to buy them. We don't just run them because they are given to us. As far as safety or any other excuse I have heard, the welds on a XXX are just as good if not better than those of the other "big 3" chassis manufacturers. P.S. More Toyotas are made in the United States than Fords are.

A reality check for Cubic (or as we like to call it ... "facts" ).
Montieth won 9 races this year (which I believe is more than last year). He is the 2010 Lincoln points champion, and finished second in points at the Grove. He won the 2010 Port Royal Tuscarora 50. Arguably, as good a season as last year.
The team is already signed up for next year to run XXX chassis again. His car will also be on display in our booth at IMIS. Hardly sounds like a team that was "faster in a 100 race old Maxim" or not satisfied.
Next Cubic will somehow rationalize that Haud winning 5 Outlaw races in 2010 was his worst year ever (even though the R19 team won no races in 2009). Not to mention that Doug Esh also picked up a 6th WoO win for the team in his short stint subbing for Haud.

Mark, please don't try to bring facts into this debate. It's something folks like Cubic don't understand. Name calling on the other hand would be right up his alley.

as far as i know triple x is an american company, just like ford and chevy (chrysler is now an italian company). i don't here you idiots slamming ford and chevy. they manufacture stuff outside the country and import it. i am also sure you may be surprised at just where some other "american" racing parts are really made. the profits that triple x makes come here, to the US. that is the excuse i hear people give when it is mentioned that ford and chevy make cars outside the US and toyota makes cars in the US. they say the profits come here. well same with triple x.
i hear everyone saying we need to try to cut some of the expense out of racing. that we need to find a way to make it more affordable. well, triple x seems to have found a way. again, i bet you would be surprised to know just where some of the stuff comes from that you think is 100% american made. at least triple x tells you up front what you are getting and where it comes from and gives you a price accordingly. you have the opportunity to buy it or not, and you know what you are buying.
to indy and beyond!!

I have to agree ith Mark.... Montieth was a lot faster and more consistant in his XXX, and I was at every race Brian ran this year. He would not have done that in the OVER 100 race old maxim. XXX seems like a good Product to me.

Am I the only one who missed where an English degree was required to talk about racing? Give the guy a break, you have never spelled a word wrong? When a point is proven correct, posts always turn in to a grammar lesson. Grammar or bashing the person, is that all that is left instead of just admitting maybe they are wrong? Yep, because no one in America will take blame anymore, it's always "their fault, not mine". Just ask Sammy.......

Apparently there are a bunch of people who are getting "free" cars, because I just purchased a brand new XXX chassis, Danny Shouse at Bishop had to search around the wholesalers to find a chassis, because there was such demand. Of course, I and anybody who has any brains will realize that most people actually purchase their cars. I know that my Eagle spent much of the year looking at the back end of some Triple X cars all season long.

Maybe you should learn how to set up your car to reverse such.
O I dont know why anyone would want to own a chinatown chassis. You dont go in to Harbor Freight expecting to find the same quality of tools as you would Sears. Sure you will pay less and there tools break but hey its just a wrench. Now lets put that same thought in to a chassis that is suppose to help you in a crash.
I don't aim to please.
I aim to hit the target.
