Maybe I'm a little different but I was prety excited when I heard awhile ago about format for Friday. Should be some great racing as long as they assure that the big guns that would be at the rear from finishing up front on Thursday will actually take to the track on Friday. Looking forward to all three nights.
My wife told me if I went to one more Sprint Car race
she would leave me.................I'm sure gonna miss
that ol' gal.

We might be making plans to go elsewhere now as well. Maybe if they took 16 cars from Thursday and ran a couple of B mains to complete the field it would be ok. Or do like they did at the Nationals and run three qualifying races with the top 8 making the main and invert from there. One WoO race is pretty lame.

hey double douche,, sure we can whine, my deal is I am self employed so taking half of thursday and all of friday plus often I work part of sat means $500 less income, then take 300 miles one way travel, 3 nights staying somewhere even if camping, 8 meals out puts this at a $1,000 dollar weekend to my budget. Knoxville cleverly kinda misleads this format in their schedule ( remember the deal"no more two day WOO shows each night will be complete program" so when I first saw three nights of WOO at knoxville I told the wife, I am out that weekend you going with? I am just glad I know now and voice my opinion might just mean something to someone sure my 1-3 tickets each night (180) and 40 in concessions might not mean much to knoxville track but what if 200 other people are just like me, 200x220= 44,000 yeah that means nothing

and at just over 300 views in less than 2 days and only one person agreeing with it, there might be way more than 200 who disagree,

Sounds like a great format to me. A full WOO show plus full masters classic show would be a very long night. The A main is the best part anyway and this one has a fully inverted line up. There will be enought time trials, heart races , B and C mains the other two nights that I think I could do without them 1 night, espescially when there is another division on the card.

Where does it show that there is a full show for the WOO on Friday June 4, 2010?
This is the only thing I can find http://www.knoxvilleraceway.com/Events.aspx?id=6

well the masters does not have a good history of many cars, 09, 27 cars, 08 24 cars, 07 22 cars, and less than 20 in 06 and 05 I think they have always ran the masters with a full show of another class, so even the masters is less than a show with or without the WOO

Its not just bad for the fans its also bad for some drivers...such as if one of the top guys just has a bad night and didn't make the A-Main on Thursday night so that means they have to miss a whole night worth of points just because they had a bad fluke night. I would definitely go all three if Friday was a bit cheaper than Thursday and Saturday nights tickets. I also think that Knoxville and the world of outlaws plan on having a lot of good guys like Steve ans Sammy race in the masters classic. And you cant count on them.

If it's only going to be 1 outlaw race and the masters I think an $18 dollar ticket is reasonable. $30 seems like a bit much for that night, according to their website Thursday is only $25 the way the 305 shows have been going I'd much rather see them race. They had some very good shows last season.

The masters usually put on a good A main, plus it's fun to see some of the old timers run and prove they still can get on the gas.

I'm with double duece on this one...People just bitch to bitch...if I had the choice to spend $30 bucks for a complete WoO show or $30 bucks for an inverted A-Main only, I would take the Inverted A only..the woo heats are usually pretty worthless anyway, race to turn one and then follow the leader.....u aren't gonna see another total invert this year..plus u get a the Masters Classic, which, this year, could be a real classic..Lasoski is already entered and I can't imagine that Sammy won't be in Garners car since they won it last year...and if Kinser and Haud decide to run it..wow, it could be interesting with these guys running unfamiliar 360's...
And Lake Carl, I think u are completely overating the power of the internet message boards in your math...with 300 hits already, what if 200 people don't show blah, blah, blah...150 of those hits were by you checking to see who replied....to the 3 or 4 of you who don't show because of the format, I won't miss you......except Paintboss, most of your posts make sense...so, do some soul searching and bring the fam for the 3 days...you will be happy you did!!

The way I was told, it is only points racing on Saturday, not Thursday or Friday. Don't quote me but that is what I was told.

well JTC you might be right or wrong, that aside evidently advertisers like this site as it has many, big tracks, big events and PR people all post things here, i have been to more races at knoxville than I can count and have made half or more of the woo events at knoxville. Hoseheads was the leader in sprint car racing forums and information, and I believe that most members that check this site out often influence 2-10 other people, us die hard fans that check this site and other are the ones taking family, telling their friends and proving the word of mouth advertising is still the best.. This deal to me is just another lets try to give the fans less, tell them its more and raise the price.

It's 3 days of racing at the meca of sprint car racing. Quit your belly achin people. 3 days racing is better than 3 days of no racing (or 3 days of winter), or only 1 night of the Outlaws period at Knoxville besides the Nationals. Go racing, have fun. No one likes to hang out with a bunch of Debbie Downers.
