I think you need to check your facts there buddy.

I made no smart ass comment. I didnt comment about driving to Tucson, so you might want to actually read who said what before you accuse me of saying something I never said.

Ventura was rutted last weekend for the first time I can remember in a couple of seasons and it was the worst I have seen it in at least five seasons, but for sure, continue to tout one night as the be all and end all of track conditions. Because Tucson has never ever had a night where the track got rough or dusty or otherwise sucked... right? and if I was there that one night, that is how it is every night right?

I am guessing you werent there, in fact im going to go out on a limb and say you have never been there and dont know what youre talking about.

You want drivers to support your race but you get on here, spout an opinion as if its a fact insult their home track and still somehow think they will drive a few hundred miles for no apparent reason, buy restrictors and a gasket.

Then to cap it off accuse someone of something they didnt do... hey, way to promote the race and the people involved.

Perhaps if you offered an incentive, offered loans of spare restrictors or convinced the promoter to offer money, tow money, prize money for the top non ASCS regular as an incentive you would see drivers make the trip. Maybe not just drivers from California.

Hmmm, Speaking of talking out of one's Ass . Your doing a very nice Job of it yourself !

** 1) I am not the promoter, nor am i promoting the race in Tucson!

2) That is NOT the first time in the past 5 seasons that the truck has been rutted or a Dust Bowl!

3) Again, Talking out your Ass..I have been to Ventura 20 to 30 times in the last 5 years!

4) Tucson is a smooth track..yeah, it get dry slick as they come sometimes..But have not seen it like Ventura was this past weekend!

5) You are the one who came on here running your mouth " Why would i want to drive to Tucson when there is a $5,000 Midget Race at Ventura"..and expect no comment back..?

I will agree with this comment somewhat:

Perhaps if you offered an incentive, offered loans of spare restrictors or convinced the promoter to offer money, tow money, prize money for the top non ASCS regular as an incentive you would see drivers make the trip. Maybe not just drivers from California.

Go back and read who posted the comment about driving to Tucson. I will give you a hint, it wasnt me.

I never accused you of being the promoter, but you are a representative of your series and as such getting on here trashing peoples home tracks because of things beyond anyones control is pretty classy.

I remember Naylor saying sorry about the track conditions to everyone a number of times. As far as dust, are you kidding me? A dirt track getting dusty OMG who saw that coming? I havent been to a dirt track anywhere in the world that didnt have dust issues from time to time. (The world as far as this statement is concerned being New Zealand, USA and Australia.)

Not gonna sit here and go back and forth with you like little kids. You have your opinion and i have mine, and i will leave it at that. I am NOT a representative of any series, as my car races where ever i choose to race it and don"t follow any of the Series.

Your initial comment came across to me as negative towards the Tucson event, and i reacted. Maybe i could of been alittle less harsh!

No way in hell would i drive all the way to Tucson when there is a 5K to win midget show at Ventura the same night!

So. You accuse me multiple times of something I didnt do but want to call me an idiot. Something that is clearly laid out in this thread that anyone can see for themselves and instead of looking and saying oops... sorry, or taking offense to the post I actually did make, you continue to accuse me of something I never said.

Goodtimes!

Hey Oak, I looked at those names that were listed as, (would like to see), did I miss your's, it wasn't there.

Well look at this... I was fishin for the Oak, and AzDominater catches a buzzard... I guess that's why they call it fishin, not taking.

The idea originally was that it would be great if some of the Cali shoe's could make it over for the non wing portion of the race. For me, that would be at least one of the traditions of the Western being continued, and that also would be a good thing for our sport over here on the left side. Yes we are.

And I did ask Kevin to give out a little payola, under the table, to some top drivers from Cali..Krusman to be exact..LOL

I have a Good ideal of who you are, and that makes this even more interesting and sickening !

On topic for a minute.

I was thinking about the tow money / incentive for non regulars. Is it fair to offer money to people who have not supported the series during the season instead of the regulars who form the backbone of the series during the season? Just to get them to show up?

Ive got some photo money I have been saving up from my sales this season for big Mikes race next week and I was thinking of giving it to the first non-VRA regular who doesnt make the show. But then this morning I was thinking, its not a lot of money, why shouldnt someone who has supported the series week after week not get it?

The wingless portion of the WW pays the same as the Allcoast race this weekend. I dont think we will see any ASCS teams or even many of the WC 360 or central valley teams. If $5k and the chance to run a big money race on a new track does not attract travelling teams what will?

1) Tow Money / Incentive for Non-Regulars:

This is a tricky question for sure, and only the promoter can justify the spending in this case. My take on it would be "Hell No"..Western Worlds is a ASCS sanctioned event, and i believe only ASCS Members should be open to recieve Tow Money / Incentives to show up. Example would be the likes of Steve Conrad (only one i remenber) who came to Phoenix and raced with the 360's, even if it was once in the past year..He would be on my List to recieve Tow Money / Incentives to show up in Tucson cause he did make the trip and Race with the ASCS. I personally think Western Worlds will be a success regardless, and i do Hope we have 50 to 70 Non-Wing Cars Show up.

2)Your Money:

Now your using your head along with your passion for Racers. I would not of put a question mark at the end of this subject at all. I think you hit the nail on the head and your thoughts are on target. It is your Money, and regardless of the amount..Drivers/Owners appreciate it regardless of the amount, it is more about the Generosity and thought behind it that hits home!

3) Western Worlds or Allcoast:

Alot of us are not happy with the Non-Wing payout portion of Western Worlds, but it is what it is..it is more about the History behind the Western Worlds and adding your name to a list of Awesome Drivers . The Majority of the Drivers on the list of Past Western Worlds Champions are also in the Hall of Fame (Az or National)..it all boils down to being the 2009 Western World Champion!

There is enough cars/driver throughout the Southwest, and i believe both the Allcoast & Western Worlds will both be a success!

I can not find the All Coast Purse but i am going to venture out and say that it is very similar to the Western World! These are the highest paying non wing 360 sprint car races in the history of 360's to my knowledge.

You will not see a lot of ASCS guys come to Ventura because they would have to remove their intake and put in gaskets. Most VRA guys just lack restrictors to be ASCS legal.

If restrictors are an issue for anyone that would like to come, please contact me!

[email protected]

We would love to have some California guys at the Western and I hope it is a huge success so we can continue to grow and make this race even bigger next year.

$5,000 for the winner, $2,000 for second place and $1,000 for third.

$350 to start i think, im not sure on that at all.

Steve Conrad, Kevin Kierce and Troy Rutherford are also in the running for the $5k series winners money for the three race series. If one of these three guys win they could be paid $10k.
