Hey, it looks like I may have found a proof-reader in Non-Wing Bill. Good catch. The pics had wound up in the same envelope after all these years, and I "assumed...." Know what that'll get ya..... One of these days I've GOT to get re-organized....my office and my garage look about the same, and that ain't good. wink

I believe the year that winded out was 1997. I remember this because a few weeks after the OKC show was cancelled due to wind, Steve Kinser got to run the month of May and the Indy 500. Anyways, they were interviewing him before his qualifing run and the reporter asked him if it was scary going into turn one wide open at 230+ M.P.H. and Kinser replied - yeah, but its nothing compared to running a sprint car at Oklahoma City when its windy!



That was a good month.

Wasn't trying to show you up Galen. I think you do a great job with your info and website. My old journalism background comes through every once in a while. Why not do more of "Whatever happend to..".
