DAVID YOU WERE AMOST 100% PERCENT CORRECT. I WAS THERE AND WHAT REALLY HAPPENEND WAS BRILL MAY HAVE HELPED TECH HIS OWN STUFF BUT HE AND HIS CREW WERE TOLD BY THE OFFICALS TO LEAVE THE AREA AWAY FROM THE STEPHENS CAR.I NOTICED THAT NONE OF THE STEPHENS-SMITH CREW EVER WENT NEAR THE TWO BRILL CARS.WHY IS THAT? ALSO IT SHOULD BE INTERESTING TO SEE IF ON CHAMPIONSHIP SUNDAY IF THE TWO BRILL CARS TRY TO TAKE OUT MR BEAN AND MR SMITH.I HOPE THAT THE OFFICIALS WILL PUT THEIR GLASSES ON DURING THE RACE, EVEN IF SOME OF THEM DO WORK FOR BRILLS SPEEDWAY .

Hey 5J........It looked to me that your deal was just a racing thing. The 12 had been running pretty well and then looked like he decided to slow it down going into turn 3 and you were hung out to dry, looked like you tried to check up, but ran out of room. I thought you'd get sent to the back, not to the pits. JMO

I WAS THERE , AT THE INSPECTION. FIVE PROSTOCKS WERE PUFFED,THREE PUFFED LOWER THAN BRILL&SMITH. TECH OFFICIAL TOLD BRILL&GARY STEPHENS TO TEAR DOWN OR LOAD THE CARS. BOTH CARS WERE TORE DOWN AND BOTH CARS WERE FOUND TO BE LEGAL AT THAT TIME. THE BIG QUESTION IS WHY AFTER THE HEAT RACE DID BRILL STICK THE COMPLETE FRONT OF THE CAR INSIDE HIS TRAILER?? IT WAS IN THE TRAILER FOR ABOUT FORTY-FIVE MINUTES AND THE THE TEMP OUTSIDE WAS HOT.WAS IT SO NO ONE COULD SEE WHAT WAS BEING TAKEN OFF THE ENGINE?? AN INTAKE MANIFOLD COMES TO MIND IN ABOUT THAT AMOUNT OF TIME !

Have any of you ever sat down and thought that maybe M. Brill is actually a better and more experienced driver? I have watched him race hundred's of times and while most the other drivers appear to be overdriving their car, you can watch Brill as he sits back and drives like he is on the highway. He is confident in how he races and he has his own method of driving that works for him. He also doesn't make excuses and blame other drivers when he loses. Look at Eric Brill, this is his first year driving a pro-stock and because he has watched and listened to Mark all these years and with his own talent, he is doing better than some of the guys that have been racing for a long time. I don't race and I certainly do not claim to be an expert, but I can certainly tell who can and can't "dance". And if Mark left SFS and never came back you would be happy for a little bit, until you found some other poor bastard to blame your insecurities on.

Hate to burst your bubble but I was pitted next to Mark and after hot laps he complained about his steering. I dont remember the car nosed into the trailer but do remember it nosed into the empty space between us. Nevertheless Drivers have a "Responsibility" to protest other Drivers if they think their cheating!

And is there anything wrong with the more politically correct and less acussatory "was found to be illegal" or "found to be in violation of the rules"as opposed to "cheating". Cheating indicates an intention to break the rules, and unless some of you are mind readers I'd wager that you couldn't possibly "KNOW" what's in someone elses mind. Being teched and disqualified is not the same as "cheating". Especially when you dealing with a tech (or a laboratory)'s "professional opinion".
I may be splitting hairs, but if the shoe was on the other foot that "cheater " label wouldn't feel so good.

i agree 100% the word cheat is normally used by individuals who think that its ok to be unfaithfull to a spouse, girlfriend or boyfriend, etc. Found to be in violation of the rules is proper term in motor sports.

Ya I probably should of said "In Violation of the Rules". But I wasnt the one that made the comment about changing intakes. Are you really taking pics of people working on their cars when you think they are in "violation of the rules"? If so I hope you bring lots of film!

I was actually referring to the comment someone made about Mark already being caught "cheating". That fuel DQ was questionable if you ask me. Course my opinoin is just that, my opinion. On the other hand I never straight out asked him if he was spiking the fuel. LOL.
