Does the WoO do random drug testing? Maybe they should.

Yeah so Tyler Walker likes his dope, so does Mark Kinser, so does Scott Bloomquist, so did countless football, baseball players, etc.... its a sign of the times unfortunately.

I have been a WOO fan since I have been a kid. It has always been the Steve Kinser show. He isn't called the King for nothing. With that, the true spirit of our sport is to root for the underdog and if you could be Kinser that was victory in itself. With that, I remember cheering for Schatz and seeing him fall short many times especially at Knoxville. Now, he has really become a force to reckon with. It is awesome seeing him do so well. He has earned every bit too. However, it is great to see someone like Daryn Pittman for example win the Kings Royal. Some of these guys have been so close and it is always great to see those guys get their moment in the spotlight. The 48th Knoxville Nationals was a race that should have been won by Jason Meyers period. Honestly, in the beginning I found myself rooting for Kinser to see him do it again. Some actually have been questioning if he is still the King and that just amazes me. Sure he is older, but still up front and winning – you can never keep a champion down (look at Sammy – nice run for his only third race this year). Anyway, that would have been nice to stop all those naysayers doubting the King. Now it is like Schatz is becoming a modern day Steve. In the early laps of the race, I thought it was his race for sure. He blasted by cars like they were standing still at times and I thought Jason Meyers didn't have a chance. On the contrary, he held his ground and even was stretching his lead. He was flying. You wouldn't have known it since the TV kept covering the mid pack racing. I was surprised and stoked for Jason because you could see he really had a shot – a good shot. The race ran smoothly and then Tyler Walker's thing happened. From my perspective here watching it (along with Brad Doty there as a sprint racing expert), there is no denying he messed up. He cost Jason the race. That is pure and simple. He clearly passed the entrance to pit road. I don't care what people say. I do know one thing…..you do not give Donny Schatz a second chance at Knoxville. He has become a master there. He did what we all know and expect from him…to drive hard and win. Great job Donny….winning Knoxville is a really accomplishment, but three in a row is legendary. With that, for those who said Jason was whining, come on he was heartbroken and surly frustrated being so close. Tell me the team in the Super Bowl celebrates being runner up. If the race was close that is one thing, but this race was all Jason and it should have been his. You know he must have been nervous as hell at that restart…all that confidence being out leading was lost due to one man's selfishness. Tyler had a huge racing opportunity and blew it doing something stupid and he now just cost a deserving driver one of his greatest racing moments.

Congrats to Donny on his 3rd win. I don't blame Jason for his comment about Tyler. I don't think his car was on fire from my vantage point. All I saw was a huge plume of smoke from Tyler heading into 3. If he was so worried about being on fire or whatever, why did he elect to not pull it in to the infield entrance he just passed before stopping 50 feet short? He could have pulled it in and he could of pretty much greeted the safety crew? Lot's of fans who were there are wondering the what the heck was he thinking. All in all it was great week of racing minus Jeff Shepard's injury. Get well soon Jet!

BTW Live TV has to go, the delay it causes sucks. Tape delay's make more sense and allows more time for better editing. Letting the track sit idle is just not natural when weather can be a factor, we are lucky we got this one in tonight.

By the way the car was wiggling back and forth I think he was trying to pull in but the car just couldn't turn. If he had indeed lost brakes, then to turn would have caused the car to slide straight into that inside wall. It looked to me that something was wrong with either the steering or brakes. I think Walker would have got off the track if he could have.

Brent I'm not bad mouthing you but to say Tyler cost him the race is a little much. Are you telling me if Tyler would have made it into the pits Shane stewarts car would have never had problems and come to a stop on the race track. Jason did one hell of a job but it just didn't work out. Steve Kinser has won the nationals 12 time did all those races go from green to checker?

He was interviewed. Brakes never entered the conversation. It wasn't like he was just getting out of the gas he could have pulled in. Find someone that has it on Tivo.

He also was never asked why he didn't exit the track. There is nothing to prove on Tivo... nobody has any solid info outside of Knoxville reporting his brakes were out.

I was rooting on Schatz, and when walker caused the caution I was actually mad, because little to Brad Doty's knowledge Schatz had closed in on Meyers and was ready to make a move, I thought this would give Jason the open track he needed to pull away for the final few laps, hense me being mad. I think Donny was going to win it either way. Jason is a great driver and will have his name up with the other winners soon enough, but blaming this on Tyler Walker when all he did was give the car that "deserved" to win an open track for a few short laps isn't the way to go.

so that half a straight away lead Meyers had was Schatz closing in to make a move? Not sure what race you were watching. Meyers was killing Schatz in traffic. At one point Schatz had come to within about 5 car lengths, but Meyers quickly stretched it back out to half a straight away in traffic. The cautions definetely cost him the race.

o yea he got it because tyler walker is an idiot and cant pull off the track..meyers deserved that win

Maybe Lasoski deserved that win because he struck a late deal with a sponsor and ran his own equipment. Maybe Steve deserved the win because he hasn't won it in several years. Maybe Dollansky deserved it because he's a nice guy and has come close in the past. Maybe even Schatz deserved it because he was faster than Meyers at the end because he was smart and saved his tires. Maybe Walker deserved it because he passed more cars than anybody I've mentioned. Come on man, everybody deserves it.

Meyers was so fast and ran traffic so well many of us thought he would still hold off Schatz after the caution. Blame all you want on Walker, but Meyers used up his tires and was beaten by a faster Schatz cleanly. If you think Meyers deserved it so much, he would have been smarter, saved his tires and walked away from Schatz on the restart. Is that what Meyers needs to win a big race, start on the front row and run 30 laps caution free???? That doesn't happen much these days in winged sprint car racing.

On Monday night, Dobmeier was smoking the field at the FRC until he got caught up with lapped traffic and trashed his ride which handed the lead to Pittman who ended up winning. Where are all the posts about whoever the lapped traffic was that tangled with Dobmeier? Nobody is hating on Pitman for winning the FRC.

Donny's right rear tire after the race looked like it could have gone another 30 laps or more easily - it was in very good shape. Great run Donny and congratulations!

Congrats to Donny on his 3rd straight. Jason Myers had a good run but cautions are a part of the game and its your job to stay out front, I am not understanding of the hate on the way it went down.

Were you there? On tv, that's what it looked like - a nice lead for Meyers. But have heard from people there that he was getting close.

Yeah, I was there sitting near the middle of the front stretch and Donny was done saving his tires and was coming fast.

Cautions are a part of the race. There was another caution also. Meyers beat Donny early in the year after he got about 5 cautions in 10 laps to keep catching him. That's the way it works. Nobody deserves anything, they earn it.

It's funny how everyone says Donny whines and complains, but I'll bet nobody mentions how Meyers just got done whining about the cautions. Nobody knows why Tyler stopped on the track or why there was another caution and for him to call Tyler selfish is bullshit. Tyler may have felt in danger and wanted to make sure the fire got put out. And for you to call him an idiot just makes you look like a jackass. Guys stop on the every track in the country every week on purpose after they get a flat tire or have another problem in hopes of getting back into the race.

Many who hate Donny are so two-faced, calling him a whiner but won't call out anyone else. Good for them because Donny just won again.

Thats the truth don't most of the people on here make you sick. Oh Tyler didn't turn into the pits he must be on drugs. Oh no Tyler got pissed off and showed some emotion at the biggest race of the year after he passed 14 of the best cars in the country and his engine let go. He should be drug tested. TO EVERYONE THAT HAS POSTED SOMETHING BAD ABOUT TYLER WALKER COSTING JASON MEYERS THE RACE YOU SHOULD BE DRUG TESTED. AND I HOPE AND PRAY YOU DONT HAVE KIDS PEOPLE THAT IGNORANT SHOULDN'T REPRODUCE.

You do know that by simple definition, the word "Ignorant" means 'not knowing of'. Usage of the word in improper context using it as a defamatory descriptive is in itself, ignorant.

Brain surgery, diamond polishing, advance mathematic equations and predicting women are things I am ignorant of. As well as a large number of posters on the board I suspect. Being ignorant of a given subject is as natural as breathing oxygen.

You cannot call out another, as you are not of knowing the usage of the English language. So by your own definition, you should have been neutered.

Oh, I have no say in this Knoxville Natty deal, as shit happens in racing all the time, what are you gonna do. Name one time a race result was changed because of a couple message board keyboard commandos arguing about it.

Michael, Michael, Michael, what are you trying to do, really. Some of these clowns have computer access, deal with it. They are not only available in trailer parks but libraries (lol) and while grammar and spelling is not a necessity being brain dead is.

Last Saturday was the same, not much passin' deal that most final nights have been over the past two decades and some people whine about it. The fact that the guy most people thought was gonna win actually won frustrates the morons that don't know any better, huh? Now it is excuse time and since TW has a history, let the lesser lights attack, it means squat. I merely laugh at these fools and am happy that the prelimanary nights offered a few surprises and some great racing, which is what the Nationals are all about. To the keyboard heroes who don't actually partake in real life but in here I pity their ignorance, maybe some day they'll get it. Take It Easy.....
