I wish just one weekend no one showed up at that dickheads track including the fans. Though i know this wont happen because no matter what we alll love racing to much but the look on that dipshits face would be priceless. I have raced all over the country and i can honestly say SFS is the worst run and officiated track there is. Darin Robison

How bout the extra long caution for the Factory "A"? How much does it cost a driver to get a few extra caution laps to change a tire in the work area?

Then there was the Super heat 1 when Bruce Jennigs goes of the top of turn 4 and sits in a bad place. No yellow is thrown. Guess he forgot to pay for his caution up front!!!

I called the Midget after the races and told him that his officials suck. All he had to say was he's been doing this for 40 some years and that he's been successful. I said yeah successful at running 3 tracks into the ground!!!!

That was me off of 4, to be honest I was scared to death.

This has been my point every since I was screwed by the officials and quit going to the SFS. As much as I love racing, I refuse to support that track. Lanny and his goonies DO NOT care about the drivers. When I started racing 7 years ago at SFS, there were about 40 factories there on Friday night, now you're lucky to get 15 at the most and the reason for that is all the favoritism and the officials making the calls that they do. Sluggo thinks he's god and Lanny supports everything he does no matter if it's wrong or not. If the drivers would stand together and quit going there maybe it would change things.

Bottom line is there are other tracks in Oklahoma so either quit going to SFS and lining Lanny's pockets or quit getting on here and complaining about it.

I know this will be an unpopular opinion because I'm just a fan and do not pretend to know the dynamics involved from a racer's standpoint. But to me, as a fan, it's very frustrating when someone drives over their head and spins out, or jumps the hump, and then sits there until the yellow is thrown, when he or she could clearly take his or her lumps, because he or she screwed up, and just bite the bullet and come back and try again in the B (or, since there are no B's anymore, the back of the A). Is that enough metaphors to get around a touchy subject? ;-) Anyway, I know it's a non-issue in sprint cars because there are no starters, and the yellow should come out immediately, and in the case of the factory stock last Friday, the yellow should clearly have come out sooner, regardless of how I feel about drivers who mess up and intentionally wait on the yellow to redeem them. I do know that it's possible the factory stock in question had died and the driver could not get it fired again in this instance, but I also know there are times when a car is clearly running and the driver sits there anyway just because he or she messed up and wants a "Do-over." This is what makes this a gray area for me rather than a black-and-white issue. Humbly, from this fan's perspective, in some cases, I feel the blame can be shared for this particular problem.

Also as a fan, I have had this same thought. I don't think it clears the track from its responsibility to throw the yellow, especially now that the car counts are so low that we can't sniff the curfew, but I do think the drivers would encourage the yellow to come out more quickly if they would make an honest effort to re-fire. As it stands now, I would guess around half of the yellow flags in the non-sprint divisions are brought out by drivers who clear the track surface with no assistance. Of course, this has been going on since caution flags were invented so I doubt we'll see a change.

Ok, I havent seen it mentioned yet, so I will be the first to ask. What was his tirade all about? I didnt see what happened to him, just saw him sitting off the end of the track, they threw the yellow, and when they pushed him back off he flew around and locked up the brakes right at the start/finish line, jumped out and just started letting the officials have it. I am just wondering what it was all about.

Also Kenny Butler Jr was a little mad, and rightfully so IMO. I wont go into details on this one as I saw it and think he had every right to be upset. If you saw his front wheel than you would probably agree.

Robert Sellers ran over something on the track and the right rear was going down on him at the end. It was completely flat when he got off the track in the end. That is the cause for him losing a couple of spots the last few laps.

Peters wreck was a hard one right in front of where I was sitting and watching at. I actually took a good size mud clod to the top of the noggin. (it might have been a part, hard to tell as hard as my head is) I really dont think Tyler Johnson could be blamed for that one, he just hit the rut and lost it right into Mike. Mike tried to stand on the throttle to save it, not realizing his drag link was broke and he had no steering. (that explains why he was still on the throttle when he hit the wall)

Butler Sr.s 2-barrel car had the inner brake rotor and caliper catch on fire, and ultimately caught the tank on fire. Sellers did not even know it was on fire until they came over the radio and told him and to get it into the infield. Good job on the safety crews part this time to be right there with the extinguishers.

According to the local newspaper the different horse clubs have been trying to shut down the track for several years.Historical monument or not,you folks @ Fairgrounds Speedway better stop bickering with each other, come up with a solution to resolve the Lanny problem or you might be looking at no track there anymore due to kaos and confusion. That track is not 100% safe from being torn down. With all the veteran drivers that have been there for so many years along with veteran fans,Surely something positive can be done legally to change the Lanny regime.

I personally don't care what it stands for. I't sounds like GANG activities to me. I left Phoenix, Az. because of it. The innocent lives lost because of Drive by Shootings. Man oh Man, if you only knew how bad it is in Phoenix, enough is enough. And for you to want to bring that to Oklahoma.

Lets not teach our children to be involved in that Life Style.

Bobcat, there is no way to make Lanny listen. He DOES NOT care so why would he listen? If anyone thinks Kevin quit going to SFS over one call that is not the case. Over the years, there have been MANY unfair and biased calls, not only to Kevin but to the other racers as well. Lanny has been approached many times and each and every time, it's the same outcome. You say that SFS is the racers and fans track. If everyone agrees to that, than why doesn't the racers and fans ban together and boycott the track for one weekend. It would take something that extreme to get his greedy little ass' attention. As far as Lanny's family stepping in and saying something, give me a break, they love the money just as much as daddy. I have never been more happy than the day Kevin said enough is enough.

All of this stuff needs to be sent to the tracks website or the fair board.
