hey btw what do ya'll think their team name should be?

thundercats i thought was dumb. most teams have animals as mascots. liek the memphis grizzlies - they dont have grizzly bears in memphis - but they do have mosquitos the size of your fist lol. the memphis mosquitos - that would rock. the barons would not be popular eventually - with the oil crisis ya know.

I personally like the Storm. because that is truly representative of oklahoma. or it could be the Oklahoma Humidity - lol. ok i;m being absurd now.

Cat, wasn't much of an NBA fan until I attended a game or two. It really grew on me. Lots of fun. I don't disagree that improvements are needed in OKC schools. Shoot, teachers need to make a whole more money than they do now.

Fan, the gang, drug, whatever culture is rampant in all sports. PacMan Jones and Michael Vick are fine representatives for the NFL. How 'bout the receiver caught in Arkansas Wednesday cutting coke with a credit card? Bonds, Sosa and McGuire are certainly guys to look up to in MLB. A Rod's affair with Madonna is nice. Shane Hmiel and the Fike boy certainly did auto racing proud with their actions. Many NBA players have charitable foundations that are rarely in the news but do great work. I didn't realize that Peja Stojakavic, Steve Nash, Manu Ginobli, etc., etc., were from Compton. Kinda thought they were from Serbia, Argentina and maybe even Canada. Don't paint with such a broad brush. Have you ever been to Compton? Myself and a buddy ended up lost in Compton after getting fogged-out one night at Ascot. THAT was awesome (lol).

Smoman, that's pretty much how I feel about 93.2% of any race that has the NASCAR name attached to it.

How 'bout that Federer /Nadal final. One of the best sporting events I've watched in years.

I love the "Barons". Oil barons and cattle barons. Don't know what they'd call the dance team though. Stallions is cool too. Dance team could be the Fillies. Hope it has nothing to do with the weather and ends in a "s". None of that Thunder or Storm stuff.
